Bush Urges Job Training for Shifting Workforce
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,116146,00.html

"President Bush on Monday defended his record on the economy and the war in Iraq, appearing at a North Carolina college where he praised a partnership between local business leaders and the academic community.

Appearing at Central Piedmont Community College (search), Bush said the economy is getting stronger and that he is optimistic about the future. He cited March unemployment figures showing the best job growth in four years."

"While on the ground there, Bush pledged to "stay the course" and bring democracy to Iraq.

"Terrorists can't stand freedom," Bush said. "We're still being challenged in Iraq and the reason why is a free Iraq will be a major defeat in the cause of freedom."

2. bleh
I am so sick of this "everything is fine, nothing to see here" way of campaigning. I know everyone else is as well. The Economy is still going down the toilet, unemployment is growing, and the situation in Iraq is a clusterfuck of monumental purportions.

<sarcasm>I guess that the economy is so wonderful, that the reasons buisnesses are shutting down, are not because of outsourcing and layoffs, but because people have so much extra money lying around, that they would rather spend their days on their brand new yachts, than go to work. Those tax cuts did the trick. Now employment is optional..yep...No need for anyone to work anymore<sarcasm>:eyes: :puke:

6. This is all part of the corporate master plan...
Corporations want a just-in-time workforce which can be scaled up or down on an executive's whim.

This job training will be nothing more than corporations using the community colleges to train their workers at the expense of tax-payers.
