Why the press buys into this kind of drivel after he fought hard to eliminate the commission altogether is mind boggling. He says that with him and Cheney appearing together "it will be a great opportunity for them to ask both of us our opinions on the subject" what utter horseshit. Like the commission wouldn't ask if they were brought in seperate???? I believe with a totally non-quizzical press this country is doomed, doomed I say!!!!

2. Well, it's an inch in the right direction

Months ago, he was allowed a fumbling "there's time for politics... there's time for politics... there's time for politics" response to the same charge and the cowed press pool let it pass. That he's actually having to say out loud that he would've prevented 911 had he known it was possible is progress of sorts, I guess.
