Plame? Dem computers broke into, AWOL, Medigate, bribery?
are any of these still being looked into?

Or did everyone get distracted over Rice's testimony (even ignoring what the commission restrictions gave away?)

1. I think the Plame case is active
I expect indictments any day now.

I think ALL of those investigations you list are still underway.

The White House is worried about the Plame investigation. But I'll bet this poll -- or their own internal ones that match it -- is what has their attention. According to a Miami Herald poll released this morning, John Kerry...

Just saw Mary Matalin on Meet the Press arguing that Vice-President Cheney isn't a political liability to the president. He's just taken a lot of attacks from Democrats; and doesn't fight back apparently. "He's not Mr. Rapid Response," said Matalin....

Now that the Newsday article -- discussed below -- has provided a new hook for the Plame story, it's really time for some member of the White House press corps to pose the 5th amendment question to Scott McClellan. The...

2. Reps think committing Federal felonies is some kind of joke
They are mocking these events. They believe they are above the law. Breaking into federal interest computers is a felony, as is releasing identities of covert agents.

Power is what matters to these people, not the law.

GOP dodges Medigate
Lawmakers bash Bush, distance selves from row
By Bob Cusack

Republican lawmakers are distancing themselves from the still raging Medicare scoring controversy by chastising the Bush administration for withholding information from Congress.

So far, GOP legislators have dodged the spotlight on accusations regarding the suppression of Medicare projections to Congress.

As the White House continues to attempt to downplay the significance of what Democrats have dubbed “Medigate,” congressional Republicans generally have not come to the defense of the administration....

Democrats have made headlines on this issue, but they will need new developments to keep the story alive. Democratic lawmakers in both chambers have called for additional hearings on the Foster matter. Thomas, who rarely acquiesces with the Democrats on his panel, has scheduled another hearing for tomorrow. Four current and former Bush administration officials have been asked to testify, including Scully, Medicare aide Jeffrey Flick, Medicare deputy policymaker Leslie Norwalk and White House aide Doug Badger.

(Note: Seems to me the press could take some responsibility to "keep the story alive," as it is a colossal act of deception and fraud perpetrated on Congress, and the American people!)
