1. Did you see last night's?
People in the audience were pretty mad that Jennifer Beals was the guest instead of Clarke, who was supposed to be on.

Stewart's coverage of this has been great. Maybe it's just because Clarke is coming on the show, but Stewart has been very pro-Clarke --especially in light of Clarke's stellar, 30-year record of service.

Tonight should be a great one.

5. He hasn't been so pro-Clarke
as he has been anti-idiot.

That's his strong suit, and in this case, it's the same thing. :)

15. Robert Novak: Douchebag for Liberty!
oh man i was in tears. the look on stewart's face was so priceless....stunned disbelief at the absolute ridiculousness of novak intimating that clarke is a racist.

7. The Daily Show is great, although I have only seen it a few times, but
should Clarke agree to be on a comedy show? What Clarke is doing for America is very noble and serious, and to me appearing on the Daily Show takes some of the seriousness away from it. Or am I wrong?

8. Sadly,
The Daily Show is the most serious news show out there. It has a cult following among the 18-24 demographic, as well as the intelligent non-sheep demographic.

9. TDS gets higher ratings that the cable news shows...so he will reach
a wider audience! (During the primaries, TDS had 20% higher ratings that O'Reilly, and he's the top rated show on cable!)

11. You're wrong!
Happily enough, everybody serious (can you BE more serious than Richard Perle?) goes on the Daily Show.

13. Daily show
The show has won 2 Emmys and Jon Stewart was recently on the cover of Newsweek. It was a great article. Daily Show may have started out as pure comedy, but it is now touted as one of the smartest political shows on the air. Jon Stewart is a genius. If you get a chance, I highly recommend you tune in whenever possible.

You can watch clips from the show at www.thedailyshow.com. The video titled "Belittle Richard" will tell you all you need to know about the style of the show.

17. It's the only news we can trust!
For real!

IIRC the Daily Show is one of the highest rated shows on Comedy Central. A lot of people my age who are apolitical watch it because it's so hilarious and end up getting information they wouldn't see anywhere else on tv. Then they want more, and decide to get involved.

Don't underestimate the Daily Show, it's one of the best weapons we've got against Repuke lies.

19. Here's how it works
Fresh episodes run at 11p EST. Reruns of the previous night's episode run at 7p EST the next day.

That's so you can watch it if 11p is past your bedtime. :)
