Who else watched DiscoveryTimes ..."Terror Series" tonight??
That was one powerful series, and it should be shown to all school kids from say 7th grade up.. It traced "modern terrorism" to Castro & Che', and then in 3 episodes, showed how it morphed into the beast that we have now..

They showed actual terrorist attacks (bloody... :() and interviewed the "terrorists/freedom fighters" who had done the bombing/shooting/kidnapping, etc.. It was amazing to see how the terrorists, years later regretted their actions (for the most part) and how "ordinary" they seemed.. It's as if there was a mass brainwashing that took place, and they were swept up into it.. (Gave me chills to realize how "similar" the rightwing mass media efforts sound) :scared:

If you have access to this channel, please do watch the series.. I taped it and will watch it again..

1. Did they also show
the terrorism of Empireal Terrorist?
Only 200,000 native Americans killed in Guatemala under Iran-contra, we won't go into the Phillipines, Mexico, etc. etc.
Oh, BTW, the Iraq invasion is to a month 100 year from the Bit invasion (W. Churchill was a participant) where Mustard gas was used by the Brits.
I do recomment Howard Zinn's 'A People's History of the United States' and members of my family have witnessed some of American Smelting and Refining's absolutely nasty dealings in Mexico and other stuff in Central America.

2. They covered Peru, Colombia and the Malay peninsula
Durban Africa, South Africa, and others...

but my friend came over so I have one hour that I have not yet watched.. They even covered Alergia.. I knew NOTHING about that war..

The trend is that terrorism always follows colonialism/corporate dominance

3. Wondered if it also covered the infamous Iranian H word incident
or a certain hostage incident involving an American Embassy.

BTW Didn't it seem ironic as to how some of those former hostages seemed Presidential and Bush seems like a hostage.
