Bunnypant's 9/11 inertia on national news!
Maybe this is a dupe, but on the Sun. evening news several of the 9/11 widows were allowed to ask a question that wasn't asked during the hearings: why did Chimp spend so much time sitting in that third grade class when he already knew that one tower had been hit, and sat there for another half hour after the second was hit. They even showed the film of the clueless moran being told of the second hit and how he just looked puzzled, then kept sitting on his butt.

1. Suweeet!!
Can you imagine if DUer's or the 9/11 victim's families were allowed to ask all those "pesky" little questions that are being so carefully avoided?

There would be fucking riots in the streets.

3. I saw that on CBS
CBS ran it as a legitimate question. I hope the other networks did also.

5. Because he knew he needed an alibi.
That's how his tiny mind works: Look! I'm innocent! I was reading to little children when it happened!

As long as the camera was on him, he was sure he could never be accused of being in any way responsible.

It never occurred to him he could be accused of doing nothing. Just never entered his head.

4. I saw that clip and I don't think puzzled was his expression
to me it was more along the lines of simple acknowledgment that: "Everything is going according to plan"

If it had TRULY been an attack on America, I think he would have hot-footed it alot sooner.

15. Can you imagine
what Bush was feeling knowing his fate was sealed one way or the other?

I don't try to read to much in an expression, but it seems he was trying to pull himself together.

6. the media has failed on this
what Bush did that day has never made sense, and the official story is impossible and contradictory, and the media has never made any attempt to sort it out. Will they start now?

12. I am baffled by those who speak of his "great leadership" on 911
Who the hell do they think they're fooling? Anybody who thinks Bush provided good leadership after 9-11 doesn't know a goddam thing about leadership. A leader doesn't sit and read children's books while his nation is under attack. A leader doesn't cower in bunkers after his nation is attacked. Bush had the most powerful military in the world to protect him and he went to hide in bunkers. Pathetic. A true leader would have gone directly to NYC.

14. Would it be too strong to say the mainstream media has been "traitorous"
by not finding out and telling the people of this nation what happened then and what has really been happening thereafter?

7. That's excellent - and to be overly sarcastic about this
perhaps b*sh suffered a flashback to his own elementary schooldays and stayed to participate because he never, truly, rose above the third grade reading level.

Seriously, the fact that tape is being shown on national news is wonderful.

9. I always assumed that his handlers always told him what to do and say...
I now know that he is more vindicative, revengeful, incapable of assessing, and insular then I would have ever imagined and the combination of not wanting to be bothered with too many details and not having the educational background to understand cultures or history is deadly. In other words, I thought that what he thought and did was irrelevant because I believed Cheney was the President. I think they had to and have to cater to his goat stubbornness combined with his revengefully greedy nature, bluff, and life lie.

Who knows whether they told him to sit there or whether he defiantly remained there. If I remember correctly, he only listened to Card. They should have never had cameras there - it's good for us that they did.

We need to know the exact timeframe of that morning and whether there was a TV in that limo because his words that he watched the first a/c hit the tower are extremely curious (to the LIHOP and MIHOP factor).

There is only one way to look at it - his persona, combined with the oil agenda of his friends, the diversion from al Queda, the lack of knowledge, focus, and concentration has been deadly - with or without Rice, the fighting and lack of clarity about the roles of the FBI, CIA, State, NSC, Pentagon, and all their little secret backers.

Deadly. Including the economic health of this country.

13. Sequence of events that morning
"We need to know the exact timeframe of that morning and whether there was a TV in that limo because his words that he watched the first a/c hit the tower are extremely curious (to the LIHOP and MIHOP factor)."

Check out the cooperativeresearch.org 9/11 timeline for all the details. Here are the basics.

As he left his hotel that morning to go to the school, Bush was asked by an ABC reporter if he knew about the WTC. He said yes and that he would have a statement later.

He later claimed to the press he had seen video of the first plane hitting the WTC on a tv in a school administrator's offfice as he waited to go into the class room, and said to himself "Man, that's some lousy pilot."

After entering the classroom and being informed by Andy Card that the second tower had been struck, he continued sitting there for another seventeen minutes at least, and then leisurely left the school and drove off in his motorcade to Air Force 1.

It is important to note that there was no video of the first plane hitting the tower broadcast until the afternoon of 9/11. Hence his claim to have watched video of it while waiting to go into the classroom was not "curious". It was a flat out lie.

One additional question. Given what is known, there can be little doubt that Bush's Secret Service detail had full knowledge of events which had occured. Bush's presence in that school had been advertised for weeks. There is no indication that the Secret Service went into any sort of hightened alert mode. Why, since it was evident after the second tower was hit that America was under attack, did the Secret Service not immediately move him out of the school and at top speed to Air Force 1? Especially since Cheny and others in the White House were being hustled off to "secure locations" at this time?

16. Good stuff from Gordon25!
DUers... please take a moment to study what Gordon is saying here, as well as the various MIHOP/LIHOP threads and links.

We need to have our ducks in a row, at this precise moment. Even at my little workplace, coworkers today were all in a tizzy about things like "Why weren't fighter jets scrambled immediately after the first plane hit the first tower," and "Why did Bush keep reading that book to the kids after the second plane hit the second tower," and "Why did Condi say that 'nobody could have imagined terrorists would hijack planes and fly them into buildings'"

Homework Assignment: Arm Yourself. It's time to Fight.
