my kids would always stick to their stories, no matter how ludicrous, when they were trying to get something by me. She's not a good liar, and she's a member of the Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight. None of them are good liars AND they tell so many lies the can't keep them straight.

Sticking her chin out and flouncing her petticoats are exercises in futility. She's been busted.

Of all people, SHE cannot afford the luxury to be "defiant" in the current state of affairs.

Of course, if she wants to continue down that road, more power to her. Gives the dems more ammo that way.
