A John O'Neill question

Tomorrow night at 6:30, C-SPAN is showing John Kerry on the Dick Cavette show. I think it is from 1971.

Also on there is a guy named John O'Neill.
Does anybody know if this is the same 'John O'Neill' who was the leading terrorism expert at the FBI......the one who constantly warned Bushco about the threat of al-Qaeda and was totally ignored, just like Richard Clarke.....and was then killed in the attacks at the World trade Center?

Anyone know?

1. I don't think so ...
This John ONeill was a GOP brownshirt specifically picked to run against Kerry and make the talk show rounds rebuffing what he said about Viet Nam.

8. Different John O'Neill
This guy on the June '71 Dick Cavett show is still alive and an attorney in Texas.

I wonder if he STILL thinks the Vietnam war was so successful? What an idiot.

5. I Called in to a Radio Show...
...where Kerry & john o'neill were appearing to debate and he got all pissed off at me when I referred to his group as the Vietnam vaterans for a continued war. Their official name was something like Vietnam veterans for a just piece or a similar piece of rethuglican nixon era drivel.

The last I saw of him, he was seconding tricky dickie's nomination at the '72 rethuglican convention.

What a moron! Probably loves bush today.

7. Please, please everyone -- watch this! or the Rerun!
I just finished seeing it. It is amazing. Not only is it a moment in time when the young John Kerry came into his own, it also shows us what an impressive man he was at only 27 years of age.

Most interesting is seeing it through the retrospective of history. Kerry's opponent on the show keeps talking about how the Vietnam war is going so well -- how Vietnamizatin is working -- and Kerry is saying, wait a minute, it's NOT working.

Well, we know now who was right.

Kerry foresaw it all. And the echoes are so disturbingly similar to Iraq...

11. The John O'Neill...
...who was killed in the WTC on Sept 11th could become a national hero and a martyr. Visit the link to the frontline documentary in an above post. The Richard Clarke of recent fame appears prominently, a friend of O'Neill's.

We need more documentary evidence, but it appears that O'Neill pissed off the bush* admn by focusing too much on the Al Qaeda threat, and was dirty tricked out of his position in the FBI. This story hasn't even begun to be told....not to mention that it solidly corroborates Clarke's testimony.

I wonder why Clarke hasn't brought O'Neill up?

12. The mystery surrounding the death of John O'Neill
source: http://globalresearch.ca/articles/KUP206A.html

<snip>

And while I was a bit taken at how quickly - and confidently - the fingers were pointing only hours after the 9/11 bombings, I was positively shaken by the first red flag that popped up. His name was John O'Neill - or more precisely, he is the seam that shows. Dated September 12, in a Washington Post article by Vernon Loeb, it was revealed that O'Neill, who died in his capacity as head of security for the World Trade Center, was also formerly the New York FBI Counterterror chief responsible for the investigation into Osama bin Laden. That could perhaps be written off as one of those freak synchronicities. There were the other items - reported quite blandly, in that "there's nothing to see here, folks" tone - that gave me that sinking feeling. Apparently, O'Neill had a falling-out with the Ambassador to Yemen over his investigative style and was banned from returning there. But then there was that other nugget that I had trouble digesting - that O'Neill had resigned from a thirty-year career in the FBI "under a cloud" over an incident in Tampa - and then left to take up the security position at the WTC (only two weeks before!).

The seam that shows...

look specifically for flight schools, rudi dekkers, and atta.

Hoppsicker just published "welcome to terrorland", a book specifically concerning shady "incidents" in florida.
