Yesterday, Kerry was on the defensive....today, Bush has his ears....
laid back and his tail is between his legs and he is in full retreat. All the big guns were on TV this AM and PM to tear down Richard Clarke, the expert on terrorism, and the person that has made damaging comments about how Bush ignored the problem of terrorism. Cheney was on Limbaugh's show and reportedly stated that Clarke was "out of the loop"... Condi Rice was on TV minimizing the expertise of Mr Clarke.

But, the point is that there is a long way to go before election and the momentum will likely change several times between now and then. Today, the Bush regime is on the defensive. And that's where we want to keep them.

Cheney on Limbaugh? That just reeks of desperation. What's next, Wolfowitz on Oprah? :D

6. I agree.
It does reek of desperation. To have a sitting VP go on a talk show for spin tells me they're feeling the heat.
That should be the new meme: They're so desperate they'll do anything to win.

3. If nothing else
This Clarke thing (combined with the testmony this week before the 9/11 commission) should keep the WH on the defensive for perhaps a week and give Kerry a chance to regain some mojo.

4. Turn it around on them
> Condi Rice was on TV minimizing the expertise of Mr Clarke.

I'd like to see someone come back and ask the administration why, if Clarke was so ineffective, why Clarke was in the administration as long as he was. Why wasn't he removed once it was seen that he was ineffective.

Any minimal effort by the media would find a myriad lies surrounding all the issues Clarke is talking about.
