But, we must all make sure that his death does not stop his work! I am trying to get everyone to request Absentee Ballots, (if we don't get verified paper trails of the BBV's before the November eleciton). Not only do they not use BBV machines, THERE IS A PAPER TRAIL WITH THEM. Also, the elections can not be called early by the press. It will be days until all are counted.

5. Three election industry deaths in 11 months

1. Diebold Chief Operating Officer Wes Vance - April 2003, small plane crash

2. Diebold sales liason for the state of Ohio -- I'm thinking the name is Tony Conigliero (?) something like that. Was rushed to the hospital while attending a stock car race, as I recall. Death attributed to "unknown causes."

3. Athan Gibbs, TruVote. This death occurred two weeks after a couple of Ohio legislators were discussing the merits of TruVote paper ballots system in comparison with Diebold and the others without paper ballots.

All three were in key positions. Guess the mortality rate is pretty high in this business.
