"I am George W. Bush, and I approved this message."
Well, at least he finally took personal responsibility for something.

Eight more months of this crap, huh? Anyone have a smilie that depicts me, pulling my own hair out?

2. kinda scary
the fact that i've already seen two versions of his ads here in california, which i presume is not a "battleground" state, just reminds me the shitloads of money that he has. eight more months is going to be pretty sickening.

6. The first time I saw the one where he says, next to a beaming Pickles...
Edited on Wed Mar-17-04 05:40 PM by VolcanoJen
"...I know exactly where I want to take this country!" I actually shivered. The creepiness of that statement consumed my body and made me literally shake in response. It was completely involuntary, and it scared the hell out of me.

Now when I see it (about five times a day, here in Battleground Ohio), I just kinda make fake-puke motions, but that statement remains more than a little frightening, doesn't it?

13. Reminds me of the old Reverend Jim Jones audio recording where
Jones says, "I've got me some big plans, both here, there, and everywhere. Got lots of plans."

Why on earth would it remind me of that?

18. you too, huh?
I've started yelling smart-ass things at the TV ("To hell in a handbasket") just to cover up my fear that he knows EXACTLY what he's doing.

15. That's a great zinger for Kerry...
'I am GWLittlemanBush, and I approve this message. Well at least he finally takes personal responsibility for something.'

Cheney has been attacking Kerry. Cheney said, 'If Kerry were president Saddam would still be in power.' Kerry should say, 'Maybe, but your pals pockets would not be linedup with taxpayer's money. I would have made sure of that.'

Kerry's campaign hit back. Kerry campaign issued an e-mail response entitled: "Cheney comes out of the bunker: But ... he's the wrong man to challenge John Kerry on defense."

I Love it!

16. Well, we've definitely got a fighter on our hands...
... and I think an ad campaign based around the Bush ads would be brilliant, cutting, and humorous.

Good eye, readmylips!!

17. A couple nights ago
when one came on, I said "F*&k you, Shrub!" and my husband thought I lost it for sure.

Already real sick of the ads. 3 different ones running in Western IL.

20. Wait! He said he made ALL the decisions about the war
Remember, back last summer when people questioned who was making decisions and Bush proudly stood up at stated something to the effect that he was fully responsible? This was at a time when people were wondering whether he or Cheney was really in charge. Foot in mouth disease?
