I listened to Democracy Now and was flabbergasted about everything that happened this weekend. I knew their was a contingent of people going there to pick him up to take him to Jamaica, but I had no idea that there was so many details available from Amy Goodman of Democracy Now over the weekend. She or her assistant reported that they contacted CNN about coverage and they said they were 'standing down'. That is - they were not touching it.

The questions are -

Where is the talk about it on DU? Have I just missed it?

Where is NPR?

I count the days until the new show is starts.

This is a travesty.

Little people, little leaders, little radio station, little friends of the elected President, soldier dead in Haiti is the only news, while we set up our imperialistic rule over the island of little people. And total disregard for the other islands and their opinions on Haiti.

This is a news blackout, my friend.
