Hell, I'm donating to Maher.
He's getting progressively better and bringing up the REAL issues in plain language. I'd pay to see this continue.

(and I nearly peed myself with his closing statements tonight)

1. that was a fantastic episode. Probably because non of his guests
were comic relief wannabe experts like Martin Short, Jon Favreut, Margaret Cho etc.

John McWhorter is one of my favorite non-liberal writers. I read his book, Athentically Black for one of my classes and the man really opened my eyes.

And of Course I worship George Carlin. Bill had really pissed me off recently by calling Howard Stern and his show "horrible people" and a "nest of vipers", but I can't help but being a fan

3. I loved it too..
John McWhorter is one of the smartest men in America (even for a neo-con), and George Carlin is gold. Canadian PM Campbell was great too.

4. I disagree with his Dean statements and I'm generally not a Carlin fan,
Edited on Sat Mar-13-04 12:40 AM by MercutioATC
but I loved this show. Personally, I think Carlin whines too much (yes, I know it's the schtick). I think Maher, after saying that he always pursued Carlin but never caught up, surpassed Carlin tonight (not the Carlin of yesteryear, the Carlin of today). I think Maher's show is an absolute must-see for people who question what's going on in this country.

2. Agreed.
Tonight was an awesome show, and not just because Carlin was on. Although that certainly doesn't hurt.

5. I've always liked Maher...
He should be chairman of the DNC.

6. A little help for the Maher-deprived, here?
Any way we can see this much-hyped episode?

8. It airs again on the western feed of hbo at 1:30 central
I'll catch it on directv 504, because I was watching Alabama lose a basketball game at the regular time.
