My Econ prof. sticks it to the college repubs
http://www.uwrf.edu/student-voice/9019guestcolumn.htm

The college repubs have been pretty active on campus lately. They have been sending letters to the teachers who "show a liberal bias in the classroom" One teacher in particular (who happens to be my econ professor) has taken the brunt of the attack because she is not afraid to talk back. I don't know if anyone has else CR's on their campus but ours are burtal, neo conservatives. She's one of the best teachers I've had, I'm really glad that she is standing up to these thugs trying to tell her how to teach.

"Secondly, I will state clearly to all of my students and colleagues, to Parrish and the College Republicans (CRs), and anyone else, that I am biased as I assume is everyone else. I am biased on behalf of social and economic justice and I am concerned for those who are poverty-stricken and in any way oppressed."

"I don’t anticipate this being a problem for the University, however, because students flock to my classes in far greater numbers than can be accommodated for and I am forced to turn away lists of students every semester."

Oh and if you want to get pissed read this jack-asses column. I don't even know why they print this crap and call it a paper. http://www.uwrf.edu/student-voice/9019misselt.htm

4. This is a fascinating quote
Maybe Kerry only believes in supporting dictators put into power by Democratic Administrations. Aristide yes, Hussein no.

Soooo..he admits that the Republicans put Hussein in power?

7. I though it was cute . . .
when he said that "Everything Kerry says the President did wrong in the Gulf War — acting unilaterally, not getting the UN’s permission to invade, no immediate threat to the U.S., has now been deemed meaningless in the case of Haiti."

Hmmm, I thought the US was there as part of a UN force. . . must have been my overactive imagination again.

8. I could not even get through that guy's writing.
How anyone could take his writing as anything other than the rant of a fascist, I couldn't begin to explain. If that kind of thing was in my college paper when I went to school it would have been held up as the object of scorn.

It is so freeper like. How can you not turn away from it in disgust?

Those types of bullies are making the case for us. People are beginning to stand up to their threats. They will soon climb back under the rocks they came from.

9. that guy looks messed up
He looks like a white supremacist from that movie American History X.

It's ridiculous how they pick on professors. The republicans on my campus have take pictures of the doors of professors with liberal media on the door and then posted the pictures on their website. As if anybody cares what a professor has on their door.

They just think they are doing their part at destroying our society by taking down the 'liberal' professor. I don't think any other type exists. Even a conservative professor in ideology has radical ideas about the subject they teach, they have to have some type of opinion, and it is not centered on any spectrum!
