Guess what my supervisor just said to me?
The newscaster on the radio just read a story to the effect that per a letter from Al-Qaeda (sp?), another big attack on the United States is 90% ready.

So my supervisor said, "We need to get those sons of bitches."

I agreed, but added, "Would've been nice if Bush had been going after Al-Qaeda all along, rather than wasting time, money and manpower bombing Iraq and Afghanistan."

My supervisor, a Republican, opined that we had to attack those countries because we have no idea where Al-Qaeda really is located.

I said, "I can tell you this much: they weren't in Iraq until we drove Saddam Hussein out. Now, Al-Qaeda's a visible presence in that country."

He then opined that Al-Qaeda would probably attack us just before the election.

"Why would they do that?" I replied. "To help elect Bush?"

"Oh, of course not! Hell, they probably want Bush to lose. After all, when it comes to fighting terrorism, he sits tall in the saddle!"

I snorted. "How can he do that when his ranch doesn't have a single horse on it? I'll bet Bush has never assed a saddle in his life."

At that point, a customer came in and the conversation ended.

It never ceases to amaze me just how brainwashed some people are! :eyes:

5. Here's A Suggestion
I don't know you, your supervisor, or your employment situation.

But here is a suggestion.

As long as you are at work, it might be a good idea to steer way clear of political discussions.

Imagine how you would feel if the situation were reversed -- you were the supervisor or a right-wing nut who kept going on about how wonderful Bush was. Do you think you might be inclined to take some sort of action against your employee?

6. "when it comes to fighting terrorism, he sits tall in the saddle!"
yet the NEXT attack is 90% complete...

how can anyone be such a brain-dead doublethinker, to be able to hold both of those facts together in their head...

7. The only good thing about Bush riding at the ranch...
...is it gives somebody the golden opportunity to say that most loved phrase:
"Fuck you and the horse you rode in on" :)

10. There is more to that phrase
Fuck you and the horse you rode in on, the blowfly that followed it, and the mule that will carry you out when you are dead.

Now, that's saying fuck you pretty well, if you ask me.
