Spam officially off the menu in my house--Canadian cannibals?
Edited on Wed Mar-10-04 09:07 PM by Generic Other
I just heard on local Seattle news (no link) something very disturbing. The news reported it briefly at the top of the hour just long enough to ruin my appetite.

Canadian authorities are reporting of a pig farm in BC where a serial killer murdered 54 prostitutes that they now have discovered evidence that he disposed of the bodies by chopping them up and selling their body parts for human consumption.

Very gross story!

1. A link to the story
<snip>HUMAN remains may have been in meat processed for human consumption at a pig farm owned by a man alleged to be Canada's worst serial killer, British Columbia's provincial health officer said.

"We can't rule out the possibility of cross contamination," Dr Perry Kendall said in an interview with The Canadian Press.

When asked if cross-contamination meant that human remains found their way into meat processed at the pig farm of Robert Pickton, Kendall said:

"It's very disturbing to think about, but (there is) the possibility of some cross-contamination. But the degree of it or when or how much we really don't know. I think if we could rule it out, we definitely would like to."<snip>

2. Still shocks me
That people see hormone pumped, antibiotic filled, pesticide laden pig meat to be edible, even tasty ... and free range prostitute as, "gross."

Meat is meat, it's all dead animal. Does anyone honestly think about where their sausage really comes from?

4. "free range prostitute" could cause mad cowlike symptoms in humans
<snip>"anyone who may still have frozen pork products from Pickton's farm to return those products to police."<snip>

Uh, let me get this straight...the cops want us to send them our Canadian bacon? Okay...

3. I saw this too, on mytelus.com (my homepage)
and was absolutely repulsed.

I predict more Canadians going vegetarian. With the mad cow disease, bird flu in chickens, now this...

:puke:

(There goes my supper!)
