Fundies...(gag)
Last night wife had some friends over, and one of the husbands came along. He is right wing loonie so i dont discuss politics with him. But, since he wasnt playing cards with the women he had to sit with me and I turned on Lou Dobbs. He was frothing at the mouth most of the time but when Dobbs showed the pictures of Hubble and scientists commenting that if they penetrate any deeper they could find the cause of the big bang as well as the origin of life, he practically went berserk.
Thats nonsense he yells - the bible describes exactly how the world began and so on and so on.... His wife finally told him to shut up.

1. I've always wondered how creationists explain that. >
I mean, I know that dinosaur fossils were planted by God as a test of faith.

But what about the speed of light and stuff? You can look back 5,000 years (when God created the whole shebang) in the blink of an eye, no? What about all that stuff that's, like, 5,000 years plus away?

9. It was all created right where it is.
It hasn't taken light 5000 years to travel, 'cuz God created the light already on it's way to Earth.

(OK, heard a fundie explain it that way.)

3. His wife probably forgot to give him his meds...
...before he came over.

On behalf of the subset of people who are both Christian and moderately intelligent, please accept my sincere apologies.

7. He would love the Creationist Museum in Granbury, Texas
Right next to the park with the preserved dinosaur tracks. I think it's great to have science and superstition so close together.

10. Isn't that the place where the dino tracks are . . .
. . . next to the human footprints? Remember that from when Gish spoke at my college - Waaaaaay back when.

13. Yep, the Glen Rose "mantracks". Debunked a VERY long time ago...
I used to work with my dad back in the mid 50s just a few miles away;
we drilled oil wells there. I guess some gasoline from those 'humans' went through a few carburetors in midwest Texas back then. Hahahahaha
:D

8. Great opportunity to mock him.

I know its not nice, but I can't stand willful ignorance, its a type of doublethink, and is ridiculous. Think about how he lives his life, then laugh about it, believe me its better that way. BTW: If somebody said those exact words to me, I would have burst out laughing, then called them dumb, and move on. Not worth the time.
