Who thinks his "regular guy" schtick is about as real as a wooden nickel. Whenever he's around real people he looks like he can't wait to get away from them.

3. CBS News did a feature last night on "The Package"

As you all know, of course, that is what he was called by the campaign crew when he was running for the office.

Anyway, the CBS feature was great! They actually came right out and said he was a media invention. They showed clips of him swaggering around his ranch with his thumbs in the belt loops of his jeans. What a jerk. What a complete and total loser. I digress, sorry.

Some of the other clips showed him in work clothes clearing brush. In these clips he actually had on work clothes,unlike some of the earlier ones in which he was clearing brush in clothes suitable for casual office dress. It was pretty gross, too, as he was all sweaty. Sorry, didn't mean to put ugly pictures in your head but it's hard not to when talking about the chimp.

All in all, a good feature. I hope someone else saw it and can add to my comments, as it was fairly lengthy as far as these types of features go.

but his well-crafted folksy facade is just that. Maybe he is likable, I've got no personal beef withBush, but it seems that the crux of his average guy image is carfted in the laboratory.

16. Look at how isolated and insulated he is.

Really, it boggles the mind. He has virtually nothing to do with the D.C. community and the area around Camp David. Local ghosts are probably seen more often than he is. You can walk into a Burrito Brothers or a store and see pictures of Clinton and Gore posing with staffers. Don't hold your breath waiting for a similar Bush photo.

Laura Bush does get out into the community somewhat, so it can't just be security issues. The guy just isn't interested in anything beyond himself and a couple of his hobbies.

Oh, and there's money and adulation, but you knew that already.

18. I talked to my mom on the phone this weekend -

and she was harping on the evils of Walmart, outsourcing, sweatshops, NAFTA,etc. I allowed that to open up a political conversation (dangerous, with my mom!) - and she stated that she would NEVER vote for Kerry - she kinda liked Dean, but Kerry - no way!

I asked her why not Kerry? She answered "You can't tell me that this multi-millionaire has any idea what the average person goes through." Ummm - okay. So what about Bush? "He's a good, honest man who's family has WORKED HARD for what they have, and he is from such a nice, nice family. His mom and dad are such wonderful, warm and kind people."

How can you argue with someone so delusional?

She then stated that a vote for a democrat equals free healthcare, free abortions, and gay marriages for all!!

Jesus H. - the woman rails against EVERYTHING Bush is for (ie: corporate power and screwing over the average person) but insists he is a kindhearted, REAL PERSON in touch with humanity.

I'll say it again - WTF???

I voted "complete phony" in your poll - what freaks me out is that what is so OBVIOUS is so difficult to see for so many people.
