NY DUers and Bush visit...
Here is what I am wondering...
Do you think there is a way for you to join forces with the
the families of both the WTC families and the military
families to make a peaceful statement when Bush
visits NY?
I am thinking of the following picture:
One pair of combat boots for every dead soldier,
like they have done here on the beach.
One candle for every victim of the WTC and the
our fallen children soldiers in Afgahnistan and Iraq
Our own WTC monument.
A BIG ole banner that simply read "Where are the WMD?"
I would bet the Fire Fighters' Union would join you too.

I'd like to see the network news ignore that image.

1. The big show
Will be in August. The Repugs made a hasty decision to hold their convention in New York City. I strongly suspect that they will live to regret that choice. They have no friends here and a lot of people who are extremely pissed off at them. Can you say, " Chicago 1968". The first clue as to how the GE will turn out will be the level of hostility shown to our "guests" when they convene to anoint shrub.

2. Chicago 1968 backfired on the Dems. Nixon won. I hope..
we can avoid that happening again.

3. The obvious difference was . . .
that Chicago 1968 was the Dem's convention. Riots in the streets, by your own nominal supporters, undermines the party; peaceful protests by the opposition party is an entirely different animal. The Repugs will be unhappily surprised to find out how few friends they have in New York.
