Right now it's John Conyers talking...slow enough to put ya to sleep. But it could get interesting.

2. Sheila Jackson Lee calls for congressional investigations
and international assistance.

She also mentioned that some Haitians in the US are in fear of their lives. And criticized the wholesale turning back of Haitian refugees at sea, asking for individual interviews for each person to find out whether or not their lives were in danger.

Kendrick Meek talks about the "Saturday night visit" by US troops, and intimidation of Aristide.

The CBC and the Progressive Caucus that about raps it up for anyone in the House that even does the people's business.

The House is adjourning now until 10 am tomorrow, eastern time.

I have to say, I'm so proud of the CBC!!

11. Ms. Barbara Lee
on the floor I love her!
This administration went to the International Community and blocked help to Haiti. What this country did really helped democracy fail in Haiti undermined it over and over again watched Aristide comply over and over again.
Outrageous requirements and Aristide still complied we watched a Coup!

Word! The CBC has the Bush Gangsters number she referring to what happened in the 80's and we are seeing the same thing.
Says if I was Venezuela Cuba or Brazil I'd be afraid too.

Rep. Ms. Jan Schakowsky of Illinois up now!

15. She did a great job...
I'm proud of all of them for speaking in front of what looked like an empty chamber.

I'm sorry very few others saw this. They don't know the half of the situation, and this would have enlightened them considerably.

16. A number of house Dems do this sort of thing.
But if you're not a C-Span junkie like I am, you'd think the Democrats never speak up.

Still, the CBC does us proud.

19. This sounds like what they refer to as "special order speeches"
which I always thought sounded like Gingrich-speak for speaking your mind, even if it must be the only time that Tom DeLay and Bill Frist will allow - when all the other Congressmen don't have to be bothered to listen.
