Has there ever been a more incompetent leader than George W Bush ?
It started out with our spyplane being forced down near China and dismantled and brought back to George on a Russian transport. Than he had the mishap that had his friends on a submarine that surfaced and killed those Japanese students. The misfortune of being in Crawford on vacation and ignoring intelligence while the WTC was being targeted by the terrorists of 9/11. The total disgrace of his taxcuts and the humongous deficits he has created and the surpluses he went through like diarrhea thru a goose...Has there ever been a more incompetent leader anywhere on this earth...since perhaps...Caligula?

2. Makes me laugh because Eisenhower
used to be called all kinds of epithets by my mother. She always said that he would go down in history as the worst president ever. She has maintained that for as long as I can remember, until, OF COURSE, the present "gent" in office.

She finally broke down months ago and said that she didn't expect to live to see anyone worse than Eisenhower, but, she had to admit that Bush was outdoing ole' Ike in oh so many ways. She is quite stubborn about Ike but this one (the Bush Empire) really popped her cork.

She's been a lifelong Democrat, herself, and in fact, the first time she voted, it was for GIVE 'EM HELL HARRY.

Herbert Hoover was pretty worthless, although he got a dam named after him. Reagan was a doofus and he got an airport named after him. I suppose they'll rename a National Park after this guy!

41. Agree Knight
I think Hoover gets a bum rap.

He spent much of his life helping people who were suffering.

When the depression happened, his RFC went further than any other president before him in direct government involvement in relief. The fact that FDR went much further after him doesn't change the fact that he went further than any before him.

I think he gets a bum rap from history.

11. It's pretty sad
I get the feeling of being in a ship thats adrift, getting blown whichever way the wind is coming from. The trouble is we've run aground on some dangerous rocks and may have done some serious permanant damage.
That's why I'm afraid of the chimp* and it's handlers running a scorched earth policy later in the year.

13. Worst President Ever
Calling him the worst president ever might be an exaggeration, he is though the worst President so far.

With all the damage he's done in the name of 'saving the country' I've seen nothing but a country that has gotten so bad that should he garner reelection I'm planning on fleeing to a foreign country with more respect for people's rights.

To loosely quote Ben Franklin, "Those who would surrender their liberties for security deserve neither." The American who has surrendered willingly to the first half of Bush's reign of terror must willingly accept the consequences of what I pray is the last of his iron fisted rule and not merely a point before extension.

Just remember, get out and vote, drag friends and family to vote. We must all stand together and say in one united voice, "Get that Bush and Dick out of the White House! We're sick of them soiling it and want sane leadership."

10. Yes, but
I think we could survive if he were just incompetent. The incompetence combined with the amazing level of corruption is what caused us to fall so far so fast. Cheney remaining on the board of the company that's gouging us in Iraq. Ken Lay getting off scot-free. THe secret energy task force. The stonewalling of investigations. The waste of time and money on anti-gay Constitutional amendments.

14. In my opinion
George W. Bush is, like Homer Simpson, "stupider like a fox." Strategic incompetence to make us underestimate him, then he'll do something like capture OBL, and everyone will be shocked and amazed (*monotone*"We are shocked and amazed.") Honestly, that's the only thing I can think of. We all know of course, based purely on performance, that even I could do a better job than him.

Don't you remember the story where Reggie went around stealing trophies for various stuff, and they disengenuously not refuting the assumption that they were won by him? Reminds me very much of Dubya.

Or how about the one where Reggie is watching football and he 'chokes on a pretzel'... Oh wait, that was Dubya! I get so confused sometimes because he SEEMS so cartoonish.

23. Incompetent leaders
Rather than speculation and ramblings about the recorded history of mankind, why don't we limit the question to Presidents of the US.
With that qualification, the answer is most certainly NO. Bush lite is the worst pResident the US has ever had to suffer through. Anyone who wishes to disagree is free to do so, but in the interests of fairness I would ask that anyone who wants to take issue with my conclusion to name the President(s) who were worse than shrub and explain what you think they did that makes them worse than *.
I never thought I would live to see the day when I would despise a President more than I hated Nixon, but shrub is much worse than Nixon; he has no redeeming features, no curiosity about anything, and no desire to be anything other than a tool for his radical and greedy "supporters".

26. I wish he were incompetent
If he were, he would never have succeeded in turning a modern, freedom-loving democracy with a thriving economy into a repressive, totalitarian police state with a feudal economy in just the space of a few short years. No, I think you have to hand it to the shrub, he and his gang of nazi thugs have learned very well the lessons of Machiavelli and Sun Tzu and have applied those lessons with terrifying efficacy. These are extremely dangerous fanatics we're talking about, not incompetents.

27. Bush Slept & 3,000 Died
In August of 2001 The Washington Post calculated Bush's vacation rate going into Labor Day weekend of that year at 42%.

In other words, we had a 'president' who was showing all the signs of not being in any way engaged in the responsibilities of the office given to him by his father's cronies on the U.S. Supreme Court.

A little more than a month after this article appeared 3,000 innocent Americans were murdered by Saudi terrorists in New York and Washington DC.

Did the power vacuum at the top of our govt lead the Saudi Arabian terrorist group Al Qaeda to conclude that America was undefended and could therefore be attacked?

Without a doubt, this dummy is the worst that I have known or known of ---

He reminds me of Howdy Doody, someone is always pulling his strings and when he responds he keeps the same expression on his face. He really thinks he is saying something intelligent but it is simply Lies and More Lies.

On second thought, Howdy Doody was at least charming. This stupid puppet is dangerous to the entire World.

How much longer before he is impeached?
