NBC attacking liberal groups
NBC is attacking groups like MoveOn.org and ACT and making it sound like they're some dangerous fund raising machine.

I watched the report and listened to McCain carry on about how evil liberal groups were who were raising money to unseat Bush while saying nothing about Bush's fundraising efforts.

I simply can't believe these people. Liberal groups are evil but it's OK for right wing groups to raise money in churches and elsewhere for Bush and no one says a word!

Sorry, had to vent!

9. Campaign finance reform really screwed us and helped the GOP didn't it?
In theory - it's great. In reality, it destroyed our fundraising - because we have always raised lots of money in small amount from many people, through unions and civil organizations - but still let the Republicans take bundled $2,000 checks from rich people.

McCain is a smart Republican - why did we go along with it?

4. Yep, I actually would have _considered_
voting for him in 2000.

No way I'll ever do that now, even though he supports Public campaigns.

7. What happened to McCain
I don't get these people. If people I considered friends or colleagues said half of what was spread on McCain about me, I wouldn't lift a finger to help them out. How much did he sell his soul for?

15. McCain is probably just jaded
He didn't take the personal attacks from Chimpy personally. He just accepted it as hard ball politics where the other side got the better of him.

He's a diehard right winger to the core.

14. McCain plays the "good cop, bad cop" strategy of political mythology.
His intensions are just as partisan and vile as the bad cop. He is a moderate Trojan horse sent to implant the perception of moderate in the general populace. Perception trumps reality in politics, always remember the talking point is more piecing than the action.
