Let's all vote in the CNN-Bush AWOL poll
Hey, gang! The new CNN poll (most unscientific, of course) asks if the "records" prove Bush served properly in TANG. Let's all vote our conscience - this one they may not get away with.

15. Another misleading question.
Yes, it does clear up questions. It shows he only served nine days. That answers the question, "Was he AWOL?" with a resounding "yes".

19. You guys should be careful about this
It's always possible that Bush was telling the truth and that he did serve his time. The argument can be turned into its opposite by giving Bush credibility, if it is proved that he served his time, and making it more difficult to bring up other criticisms of Bush. Besides the issue isn't whether he went awol, although if he did its politically useful, the issue is why he was allowed to jump to the top of the list of people getting into the guard and why his unit was full of senators sons. In fact, as you saw, that was what he was defending against in the Russert interview when he warned people not to denigrate the guard.

21. All he has...
... to do is offer real proof. That should not be that hard to do. Since after all this time he has failed to do so, excuse me if I find his story less than credible.

27. Nuthin' to be careful of!
1. If Bush were telling the truth, he'd have all manner of documents and people he served with saying so.

2. Even if Bush is (for the 1st time in his life telling the truth), light is still shed on his skipped physical, jumping to the head of the TANG line cuz of Daddy, not flying, and being a hypocrite.

My friend, for once we can't lose.

Not one reservist has ever come forward to say he was seen at any meeting! And the Bush name was famous then so many would have known who he was and remembered him. And we should believe a piece of paper that suddenly they find? Give me a break!

Payroll papers (do we have originals? can we test age of ink and paper?) don't show diddly. He can show he has been paid to the the POTUS but most everybody knows he is just a puppet putting in personal appearances when ordered to do so. Paystubs don't make him a leader anymore than they prove he fulfilled his military obligation and did his 'doo-ty'.

Serve? Obligation? Duty? Not on his watch, ever!
