Campaign to Censure Bush
This is the email that I sent. Please join me in spreading the word.

Friends and family,

The evidence is now out in the open that The Bush Administration manipulated the facts (lied) to win support for an invasion of Iraq. In the build up, they made repeated specific statements, including quantities of agents, despite contradictions by the inspectors in Iraq. Now they say they "thought" Saddam had WMD and try to pass the blame. They exploited people's emotions about about 9/11 and implied that there was a connection between Bin Laden and Saddam. They have gone so far (in true Orwellian fashion) as to say it was Saddam's fault because "he wouldn't let us in", even though the inspectors WERE IN Iraq and were forced to leave for their own safety due to the impending attack.

More than 500 American military and thousands of innocent Iraqis are dead because of these lies. Untold thousands more have sustained serious injuries. It is impossible to comprehend the financial cost.

If there is any doubt that this invasion wasn't planned long before 9/11/01, do a little reading about the PNAC. It's all there-the names of the people now in power, their plan and their rationale.

Our military serves to protect our country, not to be used as venture capital by Halliburton or the Carlyle Group.

It is not enough to vote them out in Nov. I urge you to consider this action:

Dear MoveOn member,
>
>The response to our "Censure" campaign has been incredible. In just days, more than 250,000 people have joined our call on Congress to censure President Bush for misleading us in his rush to war -- a response among the strongest we've ever seen.
>
>The response was so strong, in fact, that you may have had trouble accessing our website to sign on. We've now taken steps to ensure that you'll be able to get through.
>
>Tomorrow, we'll present our campaign to Congress at a press conference in Washington. We'll be joined by former top intelligence officers and by parents whose children have been injured and killed while serving in the military in Iraq.
>
>With your help, we can make our statement even more powerful -- we're aiming for 300,000 signatures on our petition by tomorrow. We can also reach a major milestone in MoveOn's history: our two-millionth U.S. member. True Majority, Working Assets, and the Win Without War coalition are also joining us in this campaign.

2. I'm going to ask CSPAN if they are going to cover this event.
I would love to see this live tomorrow. I urge everyone to do the same.
