The secret of Bush's* appeal revealed

OK, who else on the board besides me can't resist occasionally stoppin on the Xian network on cable while going back and forth? Even spend more than a half a minute on the 700 Club?

I finally figured out, during the MTP interview this morning, Bush's media personna. He is a perfect clone of Pat Robertson in terms of his delivery and general demeanor.

His smarmy, smirkiness is all over the Xian Taliban shows. It is a proven seller, as shown by the financial success of these faith-based shakedown shows.

I tried to keep an open mind watching MTP, and I came away with the impression that a lot of casually engaged Americans would come away with a favorable impression of the guy. I'm not sure he doesn't get some bounce out of this.

Unless and until the media start to pressure Bush* the way they pressure our candidates, Bush will continue to be the Rev. Uncle Sam, and win the hearts of a significant number of people. He needs to get pushed off his cool.
