Are todays headlines the ultimate in whorrin' or what?
* says a ton of things yesterday in this press conference that were at least embarrassing and at most monumental admissions.

So what are all the headlines in every paper I passed today?
"......seeks to secure sanctity of marriage"
"......defends traditional marriage"
"......seeks to ban gay marriage"

Out of that entire press conference, THIS was the headline. What made it worse is that the articles in question all addressed the other things he said in the press conference. But the fact that they made this the headline in EVERY SINGLE CASE THAT I SAW speaks volumes.

Pathetic.

1. That gets his base behind him...
A righteous man speaking out against sin... This will be an issue. Other than the "war on terror", what else does he need?

3. Scalia fired the opening shot
with his disent of the SC's ruling on the sodomy case. I told my partner after the ruling that there was going to be a big backlash now. Can't be having us queers getting all uppity and thinking we deserve equal treatment or something.

I noticed that *'s blatherings on it included he has "lawyers" looking into it. Boy, the 'Pubs sure hate those lawyers until they need to force something on everyone.

5. Bush needed to shore up his conservative base.
That base is pissed because he's "growing the government" instead of slashing it.
