Toll free Capitol Hill Switchboard Number 1 (800) 839 - 5276
Time for that reminder again.

Time for calcium supplements for their spines!

I used this number this morning, three times so far - to call Ted Kennedy's office, Carl Levin's office, AND Pat Roberts' office. You call it, ask to be transfered to whoever's office in the House and/or Senate. They'll do it for free.

This is a good time to get crankin'! What with Kay, the AWOL business, and a lot of unwanted attention on the Democratic campaigners (who are saying a lot of uncomfortable, unwanted things about the First Dog-Dropper).

I called, for example, to urge that Kennedy and Levin stay tough and keep going, and push on the Office of Special Plans having cherry-picked the intel needed to "justify" the war. The Kennedy and Levin people were appreciative and open to it. The Roberts person listened and then politely blew me off. But it needed to be said there, too. This number enables you to call the enemy toll free. They need to hear it, too. Even if they disagree and think they're correct, THEY STILL NEED TO KNOW THAT NOT EVERYONE IS IN LOCKSTEP WITH THEM. THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT WE'RE ONTO THEM!!!

Go for it, DU! LET 'EM KNOW! GIVE 'EM HELL! GIVE OUR GUYS ENCOURAGEMENT AND LET THE ENEMY KNOW, TOO!! It's toll free. We need to press this forward. There are more holes springing in the dike every day. They are starting to realize they're painting themselves into a corner. They need to know we're onto them.

2. We need to keep this kicked until bush is impeached!!!!
Thanks for posting this number, I planned on calling today to let our elected representatives know that we(the public) demand an independent investigation of 911, CIA outing and the bush lies regarding the Iraq invasion.

3. It is a FREE number, which really pays off when you occasionally get
some staffer in a republi-CON's office who may want to get in your face and argue and try to pick a fight with you. I suspect (devious me!) that maybe they think - oh YEAH? I'll show you, damned liberal! I'll keep you on the line and run up your phone bill! Joke's on them, because this is a toll free number. I had this happen when calling Orrin Hatch's office one day. Some snot-nose answered the phone, and really got belligerent with me. I gave it back to him, and stayed on it as long as he did. He wouldn't give up. Well, neither did I. When the conversation finally ended, this is the exact thought that popped into my mind - he thinks he can stick it to me by running up my phone bill.

5. Chances are you won anyway....
Anyone within an earshot probably had the intern (which is likely who you talked to) fired.

6. These are good, too.
Particularly if you can't get through in other ways. I have found that when I call DC, if the line's busy there, you can always get through locally.

Good information! The more, the better!

8. Three sick cats - I think Tom DeLay is worse than Sensenbrenner.
