Do you think Gee-Duh and the cabal watched the show on Watergate on PBS?
And if so, do you think it is making them thing? Or, do you think that they are so narrow minded and wrapped up in their cause/sure it is God's will that they will not even relate this to what they are doing?

5. good question but I think the answer is no
If it made them think, at least along the definitions I think you are implying, it would require them to be introspective--to see similarities in what they are doing to what happened in the past. I don't think they are capable of that so the answer is, no I don't think they watched and even if they did, they are so far out there that no connections would be made.

9. I'll bet they studied the whole Watergate scandal in order how to avoid

the same "mistakes" that got them caught before. In fact I'll bet it was included in Bush's crash tutorial in how to be a boy king that preceeded his (s)election. And most of them were around back then and have the wrong lesson emblazened in their brains. As Dean said in conclusion, the lesson that most probably took away from this unfortunately was "don't get caught". And Dean is convinced that if he had kept his mouth shut they would have gotten away with it.

So if anyone in the current WH was watching tonight it was probably more like an opposing team studying the game tapes of their opponents in order to learn how to be better thieves and liars.
But who will go down for Bushboy?

6. fascinating
I watched it and found it to be absolutely fascinating. I was amazed at how many parallels there are between what happened 30 years ago and what is happening today. I was one of the few kids in the 6th grade who would rush home from school to watch the Watergate hearings.

Nixon thought of the Vietnam war protesters as government subversives. Dissent was not tolerated. White House secrecy was the name of the game. Sound familiar? The arrogance of the Nixon administration knew no match...that is, of course, until King George II came along.

7. Depends. Was there any pussy featured? Game boy? Cows?
And SpongeBob Squarepants is a highly intelligent show - way over W's head.

10. I wondered during the anthrax scare when they said they would need to
clear out Dem headquarters and completely clean it in case there was any lingering anthrax residue, that it might have been a ploy to go thru dem files, etc.

11. I saw it...Even Nixon's boys are worried about Bush & Co.
...and admitted as much at the end of that documentary.

The fact that the Executive Branch is not above the law was supposed to be the lesson of Watergate, but like they said maybe the only lesson really learned was "Don't Get Caught".

It was thrilling to see Congress and the Supreme Court doing the job the founding fathers charged them to do. The Senate Democrats this week fighting Estrada's nominations, Pryor's possible perjury, and giving Wolfowitz hell was heartening.
