27. Summary from Foxglove1 (and others)
26. Here we go:

Idiot: Dumb Crawford joke. Looking forward to going to TX. Focused on two concerns: safety of murkins and ecomony. 90 days since end of combat in Iraq <snicker> Liberated from tyranny - on path to self-gov't and PEACE. Trained civilians into new miliatry that will protect. Reps will be drafting new constitution. People of Iraq are reclaiming country and future <gag> Growing more peaceful. Remnants have joined with terrorist and making last attempt to frighten people and weaken coalition resolve. Colation forces are taking the fight to th enemy in an unrelenting campaiugn that is bringing daily results. Sons did not escape the raids and neither will other members of despicable regime. Murkins are proud of our service people. We appreciate military families who share in the hardship. Free Iraq is critical to stability of ME and stable ME is critical to murkin people. Search for the truth in Iraq. We know he had bio/chem weapons .. spent years HIDING them from the world. Teams looking for them - to uncover the truth. Free institutions blah blah blah. Freedom advances and societies are less liulely to produce ideaologies of hatred <yeah right> We're great - we're terrific - kill em all blah blah. Never assume the restraint and goodwill of dangerous enemies. Economic secrity of the murkin people. Tax cuts, tax breaks - checks are on the way, people!!! Economy growing - unemployment still too high ... ya think .... congress needs to pass sound energy bill. Affordable energy. Frivolous lawsuits. Congress apparently needs to do a whole bunch of shit. Refund child credit. Create jobs blah blah. Seniors - drugs - pleased that congress has passed bills. They need to enact a piece of legislation that I can sign - idiot. We must keep the promise of medicare - better choices for seniors. Congratulating congress - working with members in fall

33. Next:

Q: Saddam's sons - missed the rest

Ass: We have good rotation in plan for the troops. Some concern that they were getting mixed signals and now rotation plan is in place. Capacity to move very quickly. Intelligence is getting better. Catching saddam - important that his sons were brought to justice.

39. Blowing smoke about Saddam

We're on the hunt .. making progress. Bring to justice - making progress - repeating his stupid dumbass self over and over. Idiot

51. Hijackings

War on terra goes on - there are still al quaeda remnants. We're learning more about their plans as we capture more. Real threat - we don't have specifics, but we know they tend to use the methodology that worked in the past. Some data that they want to use flights. We can be at home (duh) and be diligent that inspection process is good. Talking to foreign airlines. Being on alert means contacting all who are responsible. Al quaeda - dismantling senior management. Making fun of terrorist names. Gawd, he's an asshole. Murkin people need to know we're not stopping. We're ON THE HUNT GODDAMMIT. Threat reminds us that we NEED TO BE ON THE HUNT GODDAMMIT.

71. Exaggerated link between Iraq and al quaeda

He's hemming and hawing .... level of frustration in the media. Going to take time to gather the evidence and analyze mounds of evidence. Leaning on podium - jackass. Analyzing all the documentation not only on weapons programs but also on terrorist links. Truth will come out. No doubt in my mind that Saddam was a threat to the peace in the region - free Iraq is important for acheiving peace in ME.

78. 28 pages

Gregory: 28 pages - material you can read and have incriminating view of saudi gov't.

Ass: I told saudis we have ongoing investigation about what may have taken place prior to 9/11. Important to hold this close so that those involved won't be alerted. To reveal would reveal sources and methods - can't let the bad guys know how we get the goods on them. He's an asshole. Making progress on investigation - as threat diminishes. My judgment - now is not the time to do so. I want to remind you that some have spoken out but some agree with my point of view, since I'm in charge of the war on terra is that we won't compromise

NYC (takes over for Fox)

86. Weapons PROGRAMS.

Question now about credibility of U.S.

"better to produce results" says Bush. Dust storms slowed down...
Now, question is will Iraq ever be free? Will it be peaceful.

Articles of confederation to U.S. constitution took time. So, free Iraq will take time. Free Iraq will take time & will be important...Middle East.

"Just getting warmed up..." Uh, uh, pause.

SH was a threat. The U.N. viewed him as a threat; that's why they passed 12 resolutions. Gathered a lot of intelligence. It was good, sound intelligence. In order to placate... our search will yield that which I strongly believe that Saddam had a weapons PROGRAM.

He actually used his weapons PROGRAM on his people at one time... Real quote.

I AM MINDFUL THAT WE'RE ALL SINNERS. new topic.

chiburb

90. Homosexuality?

"We are all sinners". Respect each individual, however... Doesn't mean somebody like me has to compromise on marriage. Man/woman only, got lawyers looking at it.

soultron

93. What's your view of homosexuality?

"I am mindful that we're all sinners. And I caution those who, um, may try to take the speck out of their own eye when they got a log in their own."

foxglove1 (again)

99. Gay marriage

Marriage is between a man and woman.

Q: Tax cuts .... yet unemployment is rising - massive deficits, conomy is shedding jobs. Are tax cuts really working???

Ass: Drumbeat to war/stock market/9/11 not very conducive to economy to hear "march to war" all the time. 2001 tax cuts - recession was shallow <guffaw> Hopeful signs - whining about things he doesn't understand - housing starts etc. Stuttering like the imbecile he is - TORT REFORM ... WE NEED TORT REFORM GODDAMMIT

soultron

when asked why Condi wasn't held responsible:

“I take personal responsibility for everything I say, of course. Absolutely.”
...
"Dr. Condoleeza Rice is an honest, fabulous person and America is lucky to have her service. Period."

LizW

133. $3000 re-employment accounts

For training? Job search? Maybe moving to a new city?

Excuse me, but just how far would $3000 go toward re-training?

Ludicrous. If that's his best idea, we are screwed.

END

Liberia: Do you expect U.S. troops...?

Conditions that I laid out for Liberian rescue mission still exist. Chas. Taylor must go. Cease fire must...

... then take necessary steps...aid to Liberians

Troop strength will be limited and time ____ will be limited.

"All options remain on the table." That was after sort of making fun of "march to war" question.

Free Iraq will affect the lives of Iranians. I want to thank the diaspora here in the U.S., particularly in L.A.

Lots of citizens in email and phone contact with people who live throughout Iran.

Iran has admitted they have Al Qaeda.

Hope the Iranians will listen to the requests of countries in their neighborhood to turn them over (Al Q detainees).

Last question to Ed Chen:

Ed Chen asked: Recall campaign. Do you view this recall which is funded almost entirely by one wealthy republican...

I got a lot of things on my mind, and I view it like an interested political observer would view it. We're not accustomed to recalls in Texas.

People of Calif. opinions matter. Thank you, cut off quickly.

"Gosh, did you luck out." remark to those who will be travelling to Crawford pig farm.

Edited to add Ed Chen's last name. His question re recall campaign in California was very nicely worded. Gold star to Ed Chen for "...this recall which is funded almost entirely by one wealthy republican..."

29. In Post Mortum
Cambell Brown asked about Al Queda connectin.

He said he had talked just yesterday with David Kay about the "process" of going thru documents to prove AQ connection and WMDs...actually I think he intermingled the two.

The point is: We wnet to war because there was PROOF (as he said then) of the connection to AQ. Now we went to war TO FIND PROOF of AQ connection. ( AKA: Shoot first and ask questions later.)

In other words, he is accountable to NOTHING he said prior to the war.
