Pat Buchanan has been really quiet since his show got canned.
I wonder if he will run an indy bid as a "true conservative".

Is there any substantive hearsay on this?

4. Maybe Nader will do that.
Just a hunch. He's up to something, but it won't be Green.

3. I haven't heard any substantive --
-- info of any kind on it, but I hope it happens.

I want Buchanan to run and subtract from Bush's total, and I want Buchanan to lose big himself. If that could be arranged, I'd be for it big time.

He has been awfully quiet. That's odd for Pat. I think he may be getting ants in his pants and with no over-riding commitment to Buchanan and Press, he might just go for it.

This would certainly be his last reasonable crack at it, and I don't think Pat can sit still and let Bush blur the screen.

5. Pat shows up on MSNBC........
almost every afternoon as a political commentator. He also is still on "McLaughlin Group" on PBS every week. People ask him frequently and he pooh poohs it (the idea of running again). My guess is he just no longer has the steam for the campaign.

6. Have You Ever Heard A Talking Head...
say something similar to "advocates warn that the decision will have a chilling effect on (Insert Topic Here)? Well that's why Pat has been quiet. The loss of his show had a chilling effect on his vocal disagreements with the administration. Pat may not be a lib. but he is critical of ShrubCo on many issues. He was able to harp on ShrubCo every day, to a national audience. That, my friend, is unacceptable. Not to mention he tried to beat Dumbyas daddy. We know what happened to the last guy who tried any funny stuff like that.
