4. No idea about Hannity,
I refuse to listen to that hateful stuff.

this web site will explain some of it, although I will add that it's one-sided before I post it:

http://www.cincyboycott.org/background.html

And by my saying it's one-sided, don't think I mean to take sides. Or, at least, don't think my saying so means I don't sympathize with the people who edit the web site ... just trying to keep it factual and not launch into a rant about southwestern Ohio's potential racist tendencies.

5. The boycott is a mess
I should know, my brother tapes the city council meetings. Apparently, there is so much infighting between different factions, any progress they were making on human rights issues here in Cincinnasty is backsliding.

8. yeah, Cincinnati City council is a joke.

Btw, this is the same city council that had Jerry Springer as a member and later presided over as mayor..That should tell you something.

I can only hope that all city councils are not as bad.

6. Not much of a boycot really
I live in the area and I had forgotten all about it until this post.

Essentially a criminal got shot a couple years ago resulting in a riot.

Since then there has been a boycot on Cincinnati.

For better or for worse, its not been effective. A couple high profile actors (Bill Cosby and I forget the other person) have declined to perform, but thats about it.

9. He was right to some degree today.
I listened to a lil of it and he was saying, the boycotting by performers doesnt hurt the police. It might hurt the economy and if so then its the low wage earners that pay by losing their jobs in the end. Makes sense to me. I dont normally agree but on this one he is right.

Each night, he bitches about Democrats questioning Bush before I turned off his show. Is he going to be a big factor come 2004?

10. Boycott has simmered down but racial tensions remain high...
... I live about 15 miles from Cincy (in Northern Kentucky). There are a lot of conservative freaks in the area and a lot of racism to go around.
