My latest article is outPro-Bush conservatives have a smug attitude about them these days. They've seen the results of the election, and have chosen to interpret those results exactly as Bush has: as a broad mandate, and an affirmation that American voters have renounced progressive politics. What happened in November was an outright validation of everything that George Bush has been working for, and any attempt to cry foul over the questionable nature of the election results is partisan demagoguery, and disingenuous abuse of the election system. Bush won fair and square, and there is no use complaining about it. That's just how democracy works...
