Of course, we haven't really seen * anywhere NEAR those flag-draped coffins. If I were one of those families, that alone would make me angry. Couldn't he go to SOMETHING that honors the dead???

He went to ground zero at the WTC, then DIShonored the dead by exploiting their tragedy to launch attacks that killed at least three times as many innocent civilians.

4. I wonder why the media is not showing these coffins coming back

to the USA? Did Rove put a gag order in about this? Maybe now that bush* is being hammered about Niger, the media will show some spine and start showing the American people what really is happening in Iraq.

6. There is to be no showing of coffins coming back to Dover.

This rule has been in effect for Afghanistan also.

During Gulf I Poppy Bush was infuriated when CNN showed a split screen of him, possibly at a fund raiser or something like that, and coffins being unloaded at Dover.

So the word went forth, there will be no possibility of that happening again.

Isn't that just outrageous ? I have heard no news outlet complain about it.

7. There is nothing he can do

to honor the dead except resign immediately, throw himself to the mercy of the court of world opinion and then spend the rest of his damn life doing the Mother Theresa thing in Afganistan or Iraq.


And the likelihood of that ever happening ... let's just say that the universe will end in a whimper first.

5. AZ is a conservative state, and this is a conservative paper

Hardcore red-state folks on most issues. (Oddly enough, they've been progressive on women's issues and gay issues, if I recall--lots of both at all levels of government.) If states like Arizona begin to turn on Bush, he's in serious trouble.

And if Wyoming or Nevada join Arizona in Bush-bashing, that leaves him only a few midwest states and the South definitely in his corner.
