Bachmann Suggests 'Texas Tea' Party Down in the Everglades
When Michele Bachmann says nothing is off the table, she sure means it. Earlier this week, she said she'd consider changes to the nation's minimum wage to address the economic crisis. Now she's talking about drilling in the Everglades, the famed Florida wetlands that includes a national park, a variety of wading birds and, of course, quite a few alligators. It's the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States, and it encompasses the third-largest national park at 1.5 million acres.

2. Maybe there's oil in Bachmann's back yard.
No harm in checking it out for the sake of the nation's energy problem.
I'm sure she wouldn't mind an oil derrick and truck traffic next to the poolhouse. She has a farm, let's do some scorched earth strip mining on the East 40 while we're at it.

3. How did this loathsome woman get elected?
Is nothing beautiful to these people? They (Jeb Bush and other Republican offal) already screwed up large parts of the everglades with the urban sprawl, sugar plantations, limestone quarries and "water management". The only thing left is the small area that we now call a national park. (I know it doesn't SEEM small, but it is compared to what the Everglades was)

I fought drilling in ANWR, but this is closer to home. I can PHYSICALLY fight this, were they to try.

5. Bachmann is not proposing that we raise
the minimum wage. She is suggesting that we do away with minimum wage entirely.

7. Crazy and on some sort of an ego trip. She is like Ann Coulter in that...
she will say ANY thing to get press coverage. Unlike Coulter, Bachmann isn't writing any books so far, and Coulter KNOWS her ideas only sell books to the angry crowd of disaffected bigots. Bachmann actually "thinks" there are enough angry disaffected stingy bigots for her to win more than an Iowa Caucus.

9. Perry's no better:
The GOP's plan to "fix" America is to starve its citizens to Death, work them to Death, and generally just Kill Everybody Off. Who needs to share, when you can just own everything????
