Patriot Act extension scheme sells out the Constitution Senate president can’t gavel down truth: Voter ID bill is voter suppression bill
State Sen. Jon Erpenbach, D-Middleton, is one of several area legislators who have regularly written to Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch to raise the question of how long access to the state Capitol will be restricted.
Erpenbach’s notes to the DOA have been short and succinct. But they have raised a big issue.
Last week the senator wrote Huebsch with an inquiry about an incident where guards reportedly found themselves wrestling with whether children from Creative Learning Preschool needed to get out of their stroller to be wand-checked for weapons at the Capitol entrance. The kids ultimately got in without the hassle that teenagers and adults must go through.
But as Erpenbach rightly noted, “The unnecessary costs of security in the state Capitol continue to rise. The true cost of keeping people out of the building and blocking the doors to taxpayers cannot be calculated.”
And he summed up the sentiments of many when he wrote: “This is ridiculous and when will it end?”
We do not operate under the illusion that Huebsch makes many of his own decisions.

They have all their choice pieces in place. The WI GAB is corrupt (not discarding tampered ballot bags). Supreme Court Justice Prosser is in; the fix is in. Voter ID passed to suppress recall vote. Concealed Carry is next. The upper mid-west IS FALLING TO FASCISM!
