Norquist: Coburn "lied his way" into office
Edited on Sun Apr-24-11 04:40 PM by ShockediSay
http://www.politico.com/blogs/politicolive/0411/Norquis...

Grover Norquist, founder of Americans for Tax Reform, just emailed a response to Sen. Tom Coburn's
claim that his group was a narrow "special interest" that doesn't represent American conservatives. And it's memorable.

Norquist accuses Coburn of backing out of a 2004 signed pledge to eschew any tax hikes without buck-for-buck budget cuts; Coburn told David Gregory Sunday that he doesn't favor tax rate hikes but could agree to a "net" increase in revenues if done carefully.

++++++++++++++++++++++
IMHO, Norquist is just another greedy Billionaire that doesn't want to pay his taxes, who doesn't give a rat's ass about the well-being of this nation so long as he is lining his pockets at the expense of the rest of US, and a big-time crypto-fascist funder of the Right Wing Propaganda machine.

have so much power? He's such a nasty piece of work I can't imagine why anyone would feel compelled to sign his stupid tax pledge.

6. The enemy of my enemy is someone
I will aide as little as I can in order to ensure he stays in the battle up until the end when both my enemy and he are completely and utterly exhausted they collapse on each other and die.

7. Lying and Politician -- goes hand in hand
Not so in the UK where they remove politicians who lie to get into office - and ban them from holding office for 3 years!

I did not realize that Grover Norquist is a billionaire. Here is the 2011 list of the world's billionaires (http://www.forbes.com/wealth/billionaires/list ).

I must have missed his name on the list. Where did you read that he is a billionaire? Thanks in advance for the link.

17. Is Norquist afraid of losing his power?
One little chink in his no-tax wall could be the beginning of massive infrastructure damage. Of course, we'd need higher taxes to fix that.
