Why Al-Jazeera Coverage Is Bad
Edited on Sat May-08-04 06:15 PM by ayeshahaqqiqa
From Muslim Wake Up!

http://www.muslimwakeup.com/archives/000768.php

the point of the article is that Al Jazeera reports the news, independent of Coalition spokesmen spoon feeding them 'information'. The title of the article is obviously satirical. Here's a couple of paragraphs:

As Arnaud de Borchgrave writes for UPI, "These Arabic channels have some forty crews between them and staff every major city. From inside Fallujah, besieged by U.S. Marines, they broadcast live from bombed out buildings, damaged mosques and an overcrowded hospital."

This accounts for the huge disconnect between what American viewers see on channels like Fox and CNN, and what much of rest of the world sees.

The fact that the US media is basically in bed with the Bush Administration means that the reports they make are biased and distorted, compared to what the rest of the world sees and hears. No wonder so many sheeple believe Bush!

1. And this comes to you as a surprise....?
Ummm...the mediawhores are pretty much state controlled and will
repeat endlessly the "official" word from the WH. They started this
shit during 9/11...and haven't stopped since.

2. Al-Jazeera isn't the gospel either
but there are pictures and and news you sure as hell will never see on American TV.

Take it for what it's worth. Another source.

3. Absolutely!
I wish the dish people would have multiple world news organizations available, but all I've found is a special add on package for Arabic stuff only.

We need to look at different sources and then make up our own minds.
