There is one proud and satisfied place where the pictures and accounts of the abuse endured by some prisoners at Abu Ghraib cause no consternation and no outrage: Rush Limbaugh's America, pop. 20 million.

Here's Rush's take, from his Website:

He is a festering pile of toxic waste, consumed with hatred for anybody but his own kind...who are also piles of toxic waste. He, and all the other right-wing bullies seem to forget that we are the invaders. We are the criminals. Remember when we protested going to war, and the right-wing accused us of not caring what happened to poor, innocent Iraqis, who were being murdered and tortured by Saddam?

Now, it seems as if the same people we claimed to be liberating have become the enemy, and they somehow can't grasp the fact that these people are in their OWN country, and have every right in the world to fight against the ones who invaded them. He is like every other neocon, so blinded by hatred, and consumed with arrogance, that he will excuse any act, no matter how vile, if it is committed by his hero Dimson.

I heard it yesterday on Al Franken's show and frankly, I was appalled.

Based on Rush's reasoning I could basically beat the crap out of my cubicle neighbor and simple tell folks I was releaving some stress. He was also equating hazing done by Greeks, in which people CHOOSE to join, to what was happening in the jail (which believe me - there were no Iraqi's in there clamoring to be a part of this).

I hope picks up some stream. I have a feeling Rush will be on the Idiots list again this week!
