1. Equal opportunity in action.
I think its GOOD to give the Prez shit like that. Can't ALWAYS be a cheerleader.

3.  Some think its "dangerous"for SNL to mock the Prez! Sheesh.
SNL mocks ALL presidents. It is traditional and a good thing.

5. I agree, except there wasn't a single joke in that opening sketch.
It didn't make me smile once. You can give him shit if you want, but if you're a comedy show, it should be required to be funny. I really miss Tiny Fey writing.

7. The delivery sucked. the writing was pretty good. the line about 4 months tto pick out a dog was
hilarious! Is thiss the same guy that did Obama before? the one that did "Cool". He seems different and his Obama voice wasn't the same. this guy didn't do an impersonation.

4. Odd. All those folks that LOVED SNL when they parodied Palin.
Double standards all around. Some have become what they loathed.LW Bushies with no sense of humour.

9. lotta sour grapes out there but it was funny to me
Do you disagree with the points in the sketch? Which?

You know, I give Obama an "A" lately, supporting real health care (better late than f'in never), de-escalating Iran, talking about limiting escalation in afghanistan, talking about getting rid of ALL nukes, challenging Israel to show some humanity and integrity for once. He scores an "A".
In contrast, he got a "D" up to now. Reaching out to the Republicans for so long was nothing but stupidly naive. (and everyone says he's SO SMART).

And where has the leadership been? He doesn't JUST lead one of 3 branches in government, he heads the Democratic party. The party who has control in the house and the senate. He could have accomplished the stuff the skit talked about, or at least made progress, and for god knows what reason, he didn't. Its a fail. I think Reid and Pelosi share a lions share of the blame, but Obama should sit down at the table and eat his share of the poop too. Theres plenty at this point. Thats the subtext of the skit.

He lost me in a big way when he failed to look into Bushco's war crimes, and then he did little up till recently to even *look* effective.
I don't want speeches about hope. I want things done.

I think allowing the derivatives market to re inflate recently was inexcusable, as a party, and as president. All the laws that were taken down during the republican's time to allow the fiscal fiasco to happen are barely starting to be looked at fixing.

THAT IS INEXCUSABLE. Congress. Obama. Do what you were elected for, and what you swore to do. Do your damned jobs. And all you whiners who were offended by this skit: Its really not about Obama, its about our country. Try to keep your eye on the ball here.
