Controversial Float Meant to Inspire Citizen Voices......WTF?

FREDERICKTOWN Richard and Jacqueline Ruhl werent trying to offend anyone with a float they created for the Fredericktown Tomato Show Parade, they were merely trying to get the attention of their fellow citizens and encourage them to let their voices be heard.

They designed a float that coupled the Nazi flag with an image of President Barack Obama with a swastika around his arm. It also contained the phrase, Wake up America. The float was denied entry into the parade by the Tomato Show Board of Directors because board members felt it detracted from the family-friendly atmosphere the parade was dedicated to creating.

11. Before you take any more shots at Mount Vernon (Washington)...

...please note that the electorate there went for Obama and Gregoire last year. Furthermore, they (re-)elected a Democratic Congressman last November, as well as Democrats for their State Senate seat and both State Legislative districts.

Just because the mayor is a jerk, it doesn't mean that the city itself is conservative. :grr:

6. I have to admit ..
I'm a bit worried about the Internet being handed over to the UN myself. That doesn't come close to Obama = nazi.

Americorps, however, is a WONDERFUL organization.

Sounds like these folks tinfoilhats melted their brains. Bravo on the Tomato Show BOD.

7. I would say
these people are being rather disingenuous. Hats off to the parade directors for saying no to this nonsense.

8. I worry about that article more than the float.
It has zero condemnation for a man who wants to enter Nazi anything in a parade.
