Salon: Did the Saudis buy a president?
From Part 2 of Salon's exclusive excerpt from "House of Bush, House of Saud"

In all, at least $1.476 billion had made its way from the Saudis to the House of Bush and its allied companies and institutions. It could safely be said that never before in history had a presidential candidate -- much less a presidential candidate and his father, a former president -- been so closely tied financially and personally to the ruling family of another foreign power. Never before had a president's personal fortunes and public policies been so deeply entwined with another nation.

And what were the implications of that? In the case of George H.W. Bush, close relations with the Saudis had at times actually paid dividends for America -- certainly in terms of Saudi cooperation during the Gulf War, for example. But that carried with it a high price. The Bushes had religiously observed one of the basic tenets of Saudi-American relations, that the United States would not poke its nose into Saudi Arabia's internal affairs. That might have been fine if the kingdom was another Western democracy like, say, Great Britain or Germany or Spain. By the late '90s, it was clear that Saudi Arabia, as much as any other country in the world, was responsible for the rise of Islamic fundamentalist terrorism. Now that Islamists were killing Americans in the Khobar Towers bombing and in Kenya and Tanzania, America's national security was at stake. What had previously been considered a purely domestic issue for the Saudis -- the House of Saud's relationship to Islamist extremists -- was now a matter of America's national security. Hundreds had already been killed by Saudi-funded terrorists, yet former president Bush and James Baker continued their lucrative business deals with the Saudis apparently without asking the most fundamental questions.

1. it's okay!
Don't sweat this connection. When Klintooon was President (inhale to the
chief!), a company that gives 80% of their PAC money to the GOP may have
sold some stuff to the CHICOMS that may, at some future date maybe help
the CHICOM government! Retroactively IMPEACH HIM NOW! Oh wait, we
already did that!

Now, just because Bush gets over a billion dollars from people who were
PERSONALLY INVOLVED WITH the *15* 9/11 hijackers who were SAUDI
CITIZENS, including WIRING THEM $$$$$, doesn't mean you shouldn't
VOTE BUSH. After all, he's given us tax cuts, and maybe sometime in the
future he may possibly tell OPEC to 'turn on the spigots' like he did in
the 2000 campaign (something Al "Earth First" Gore couldn't have done
with ANY credibility) and maybe we'll have cheap gas (but if not, I'll
understand; it's Bush, Cheney and Prince Bandar's RIGHT to make a
profit after all).

So, a recap:

CHICOMS = Baaaaaaad, IMPEACH NOW!
Theocratic Terrorist Funders Bush Goes Way Back With = Gooood, whatEVER!

And remember, we have a Right To Know EVERY phone call Klintoon/Algore
makes on The People's Phones, but NO right to know ANYTHING Bush/Cheney/God
do in PRIVATE (so stop asking!).

(sorry, just channelling Bob Boudelang). I'll stop now. But, you'd be surprised
how many people I've met who seem to be solid supporters of the meme:

I don't CARE if Bush is in bed with the Saudis if it means CHEAP GAS for me.
Even if it DOESN'T, it MIGHT SOMEDAY, and that's more than KERRY can do!

2. Somebody bought a president
but it wasn't the Saudis.

Just think for a moment.
When the Saudis got upset, they simply pulled out all their money from US banking and the US stock exchange. They had absolutely no need to use any bombs to to bring the US down to its knees.

Now think some more.
What got the Saudis THAT upset in the first place?
Their ownership of Bush?
Or the fact that his true owner is worrisome to the Saudis?

Now, really strain your brain.
Remember those rumors we keep hearing about some foreign nation that shall remain nameless?
Remember that dossier which had 28 pages blacked out of it?
The Saudis were absolutely FURIOUS and have demanded time and again that those 28 pages be released. The Saudis seem to think that those pages will go a long way to demonstrate that someone bought a president but it wasn't them.

If the Saudis owned Bush,
they would NEVER have allowed the Pentagon to come up with wars in the middle east using a strategy that claims:
"Iraq is the tactical pivot.
Saudi Arabia is the strategic pivot.
Egypt is the prize."
http://www.oilempire.us/saudioil.html

In that grand game, Saudi Arabia is seen as a pawn and NOT as a mastermind.
Think about it, people,
do you really believe
that the Saudis will pay out good money to a puppet who is working hard to get them killed?
A puppet that claims that FAA-registered planes that still exist and still fly crashed into US buildings which action provided the excuse for the US to invade the middle east.
A puppet that says that Saudis were the hijackers despite the fact that many individuals so named by the FBI have come forward, STILL ALIVE, and demanded to know why they are alleged to have died in such a horrific manner.
Why would the Saudis back Bush?
The actions of Bush demonstrate clearly that he is a puppet
and the actions of Bush also clearly demonstrate that he is NOT owned by Saudi Arabia
but rather by someone who wants to invade Saudi Arabia
and is using the mass media and the Internet to convince the world
that Saudi Arabia is need of regime change and a pliant puppet government
subservient to the people who own Bush.
