Trekkie Pastor Orders Attack on Lesbians Instead of Klingons
Two lesbians walk into a church in search of the man they want to support in the election for mayor of Memphis. There they find a bizarre set-up, with a Pastor dressed as a Trekkie and a ritual dance that evolved into a ritual wilding. They escaped with minor injuries, but doesn’t this sound more like a reality show than like a house of worship?

2. An abominable calumny against Trekkies -
these freaks were NOT Trekkies, have nothing to do with Trekkies, and as the Trekkie universe is essentially 'post-religious' this is antithetical to anything Trekkies would associate themselves with.

One guy's funny jacket does not justify smearing the Trekkie community with this bigotry.

3. My abject apologies
I should have included the Spock quote about the crime. "This is illogical. . . where's the pics?"

4. Misleading headline by Allspin
Reading the article, the only "Trekkie-ish" thing about the pastor was his Nehru-jacket outfit, which wasn't even actually a Trek thing (though there are similarities in styling).

Clicking on the link it gives for the pastor, he doesn't mention Trek at all. From his "Interests" list:
Movies: "Batman" "Shaft" "Training Day" "American Gangster"
Television: "Martin" and "BAMM The TV Show"
Books: "PowerNomics" by Dr. Claud Anderson "At Canaan's Edge" by Taylor Branch "Pretty Woman Too" by Sheila Whalum
