Only 19% of Americans say they'd vote for Sarah Palin for president in 2012
Edited on Thu Jul-09-09 05:53 AM by BirminghamExaminer
Excerpt:

Much has been said in the last couple of days about a recent Gallup poll that showed that 71% of Republicans would likely vote for Sarah Palin if she ran for president in 2012. While that has cheered some of Sarah Palin's fans, it doesn't really mean much. Only 21% of Americans identify themselves as Republicans. 71% of that 21% of the population comes out to around 15%.

The Gallup poll showed that overall, only 19% of American voters say they would be very likely to vote for Sarah Palin if she decided to run in 2012.

...

Unfortunately, Palin is a blatant hypocrite. Watch here as Sarah Palin criticizes Hillary Clinton last year for being sensitive to media criticism. (video is priceless and proves Sarah Palin is a hypocrite.)

Palin has worked hard to align herself with the 'Joe the Plumbers' and 'Joe Six-Packs' of the world but as we now know, those Joe Six-Packs and Joe Plumbers aren't always what they appear to be. Palin has culled an image for herself, that she is one of the every day guys and gals and to some extent it has worked. The Carhartt work clothes-wearing Joe the Plumbers she has reached out to don't see the irony of Palin wearing Prada one day and inviting the media she loathes to interview her wearing fishing waders the next.

Read the article here. There are two great videos. One is of Palin criticizing Hillary Clinton for being wary of criticism by the media and the other is Lawrence O'Donnell making the case for Palin being the self-serving fraud that she is.

Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini if they were running as Republicans.

6. In 2004 In Illinois 28% Voted For Obama's Opponent, who was not even from Illinois
Nearly one in three voters of this state voted for Alan Keyes, the biggest joke since George W. Bush. This phenomenon proves the "20& Theory," which states that, " 20% of the people cause 80% of the problems." Today that 20% is the Republican Party and its self identified members.

5. One of my readers commented that they were hoping for a
Palin/Guiliani ticket. I couldn't believe it.

10. Plain is beauty queen
Even if I was a conservative, I would never vote for her. She thinks politics is a beauty contest, and not something requires detailed study of policy and conflict with those who you disagree with you. This conflict is healthy because this is the process how we get legislation accomplished with ideas from both sides of the aisle.

11. It's quite apparent now.......
....George W. Bush WAS the best pick of the republicans in 2000! How sad is that? They can't even come up with a candidate now that isn't a quitter or an adulterer.

13. Palin is a proven liar and hypocrite,
She's "incurious" to quote a White House staffer when asked about George Bush. She doesn't read magazines, which is why she couldn't answer Katie Couric's question. I would think National Geographic might be of interest to Palin, considering where she lives.

Sarah's days of fame are mostly behind her. She's now just a comical annoying character to most with her whiny voice, bee-hive hairdon't, and history of being caught telling lies.

Just perfect for the GOP in 2012.

18. It is somewhat disturbing that she already has half the Republican base sewn up
Half of the Republican base is supporting her, and she hasn't even announced her candidacy.

It shows the basic mentality of Republicans, the ones of lower intelligence automatically back the ones who are smarter. It is scary that Sarah Palin is smarter that 19% of the American population.

By the way, I hope she is the Republican candidate. It will make the reelection of our President a cake walk.

19. "The Carhartt work clothes-wearing "
...Easy does it. I wear them, and I understand the irony you refer to. I'd venture a guess that a great percentage of those who are Palin fans work from nine to five, wear suits, and work in the ivory towers I help build. Education doesn't mean one will always make wise decisions. Common sense and logic have a far better track record. Thanks.
