FR Interviews Meg Whitman and House Minority Whip Eric Cantor

Last week, on Wednesday and Thursday, the number two ranked House GOPer, Republican Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia, was out in California where he announced that he was endorsing Meg Whitman in her campaign for the GOP nomination for Governor. Cantor appeared at two fundraising events for Whitman (one in the Bay Area, the other in Los Angeles) and sat for two interviews with Whitman.

EMeg - eBay Republican Meg Whitman bids to save California.
by Fred Barnes

Meg Whitman is the most interesting person in American politics and, potentially, a formidable Republican leader at the national level. At age 52 and a year after stepping down as CEO of eBay, she's running for governor of California. Like Ronald Reagan, she's a well-known star from another field--the corporate world in Whitman's case--who has entered California politics at the top and now intends to leapfrog an entire generation of ambitious political strivers.

Mitt Romney's

In this Feb. 21, 2009 file photo, Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney speaks during the California Republican Spring Convention in Sacramento, Calif., where he endorsed former eBay Chief Executive Meg Whitman for governor in 2010. Romney, a 2008 Republican presidential contender, onetime Olympics chief and high-flying businessman, is building toward a 2012 White House campaign by judiciously engaging and disengaging with the national debate. Mitt and Meg have enough money on there own to buy the Whitehouse, they are worth $Billions. Meg left eBay, but not without dropping $2.4 Billion buying skype, just about bankrupting eBay. You can bet these two are just sitting back and letting Fox Noise and the rest of the Far Left Media ponder on the new plan using California as the stepping stone.

2. She'll probably auction off California on eBay.
Maybe we could persuade her to auction Arnie instead.

3. This country doesn't need business people running it. Look at the mess George Bush
left behind.

THIS COUNTRY NEEDS AN INTELLIGENT HUMANIST, LIKE OBAMA.

Yes, they have money. But they lack so many other qualities.

6. Was not impressed with her response to the budget crisis
We need a balance of cuts and increased revenues, not only to preserve even the semblance of civilization but also to avoid shocking the economy right into a deflationary trap. But she is just another uninformed neocon screaming for CUTS CUTS CUTS. I'm now worried that she might be the next Governator; last thing we need. What I wish is that our citizens would start informing themselves. This is a complex issue. http://www.xbeepx.com/Site/SOS__Save_Our_State.html

7. Who in CA cares if a senator from Virginia endorses e-meg?
As for e-meg, she's been notoriously shy with the media. Kinda doing a sara pallan thing would be my guess.

e-meg left ebay in ruins. California is already in ruins so her work here is done before she gets started.

9. FU eMeg
If you run Ca like you ran eBay with Pay Pal, enough people will know better than to let you take charge.
