Thank you, Daniel Ruth, for hitting the nail on the head re: the August 6, 2001 PDB. It would seem that anyone with half a mind would be able to figure out that we were about to be hit by terrorists. The briefing clearly stated Osama Bin Laden's intentions, and the increased activity clearly sounded the alarm that the terroristic act was about to happen. Yet, the Bush administration did nothing, and even presided over a stand down of our jets on September 11, 2001.
One obvious and ironic fact stands out, as well: Why is it that the Bush administration was so determined to attack Iraq, simply because of Saddam's "intentions" to begin weapons of mass destruction-related program activities, and yet, given the clear warning and Osama's "intentions" embodied in the August 6th briefing, nothing was done to protect the American people?
