President Obama, 'Challenges we face are too large to ignore'
Excerpt:

President Obama spoke earlier today, addressing the issue of the current budget. He defended spending for education, calling it a long term investment.

"Because we know that the countries who out-educate us today, will out-compete us tomorrow this budget also invests in a complete and competitive education for every American."

The President reiterated that his budget includes tax cuts for 95% of Americans.

He seemed to answer the charges by some that the government should do nothing.

"They say that in the face of challenges we face that we should be trying to do less than more. What I say is that the challenges we face are too large to ignore."
