The Florida Response To Obama’s Visit: Help on the Way
We see feelgood stories of people helping each other often in the news, but rarely do we see two such examples following so immediately from a Presidential visit to town. Two of the questioners at Obama’s Town Hall in Fort Myers are now doing a good bit better. Henrietta Hughes now has a home and Julio Osegueda has an announcing gig.

2. The title of that story
where Julio got a gig with the Fort Myers Miracle minor league baseball team, had the phrase "Obama Miracle." I'm not going there, but these are good things that happened.

3. My favorite thing about the Julio interaction...
was the way that Obama said such kind things to him. Julio obviously isn't the brightest bulb in the box, but Obama praised him for his work ethic and told him he had excellent communication skills to encourage him in his broadcasting dreams. Did you see Julio on Olbermann? He talked about how after talking to Obama he felt so good about himself. THAT'S the sign of a great leader. He inspires people and makes everyone feel so hopeful. I hope Obama continues to do these town hall meetings frequently throughout his presidency. They bring us all together in such a positive way.

5. no, i didn't see him on keith. i saw someone else interview him (rick sanchez)
julio is alot like my neighbor. extraverted but really insecure. even if he's not the brightest, he's not a fool. he told sanchez the pugs were on the wrong track-in so many words echoing what all americans want CHANGE. my neighbor who has never voted in his life voted for obama & talked him up to others he met! i also liked how obama treated him with respect! i loves our prez!!! :):):hi: :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

6. It is sweet.
My students last semester were all African American. (I'm home witht he baby until Fall.) They were very inspired, even to the point of waiting several hours in line to vote. Yes, I love our Prez.
