2. Stubborn to the point of incompetence
As Yglesias points out, the Bush Administration has changed nothing but its rhetoric since 9-11. The administration is overpopulated with leftover Cold Warriors hardwired to "a state-centric worldview incapable of really grasping global terrorism." I do not want to hear National Security Advisors saying things like "who could have imagined," as Condoleeza Rice did. These people are paid to "imagine."

What's so hard to grasp?
