Charles Dickens was not a Republican! Un-American Carol.
Michael Moore might go down in American film history as one of the great documentary filmmakers. The un-American right has a seething hatred for this man. Why is that? It’s because he makes his agitprop movies entertaining and engaging to watch. They resort to immature chiding about his weight with the reason that his conclusions make their arguments null and void! Rush Limbaugh being a rich white man legitimizes his fatness but Michael Moore is a rich Catholic so it is not OK for him to be fat. See how this it works? Triviality aside, Michael Moore is the new Jane Fonda, which to me is a badge of honor.
I stated this before, there has been 5 anti- Moore documentaries from the political right. All of them bombed. Why? Well, America loves Moore movies. Now comes this so-called satire called: An American Carol, based on the Charles Dickens story: An Christmas Carol. Believe me, if Dickens was still alive, he would sue the pants off the producer Dave Zucker for this cinematic monstrosity. Dickens was a 19th century progressive who served time in a debtor’s prison.
I saw this turkey…well 27 minutes of it and it doesn’t even come to the level of a South Park. It was playing in a multi-plex theater. I was seeing Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which was funny. When it was over, I snuck in a theater that was showing it. The Theater was empty with the exception of a mentally ill man mumbling to himself. When is the right wing going to realize they are not funny? Does anybody remember the so-called comedy show on Fox news called: The half hour comedy hour? Yeah, it’s that bad. The type of humor the right possesses is insensitivity and slapstick. Kevin Farley is the brother of the legendary late comic Chris Farley, Jim Belusi anyone? He plays a Michael Moore caricature that gets the Mister Bill treatment. This is a catharsis for angry white guys who want to hurt Moore. It like porn, you cant any so you fantasize about it. The Moore get punched and slapped by historical American figures, From Thomas Jefferson to JFK. If there were an after life, it would be Dave Zucker getting this treatment.
It is so fucking presumptuous to know how these historical figures would feel about Moore but hey! After all, this and fictional movie, so Zucker presume anything he wants. Don’t worry Zucker; Karma will get your ass!
This cinematic catastrophe will end up in cardboard box in a yard sale as a cheap DVD sold for 5 bucks. It not because there is a Jewish Liberal conspiracy in Hollywood, it’s Americans who hate flicks with right wing messages! Remember Red Dawn?
