Communist Obama Waffles
Communist Obama Waffles
By David Glenn Cox

We’ve all heard the expression “ bringing a knife to a gun fight.” A mismatch and a fundamental underestimation of the situation. We lament the loss of civil politics in favor of emotion-based attack politics, where truth becomes a useless appendage, almost an appendix in the body politic.

Most of us laughed in 1999 at Fox News, at best a college TV station masquerading as a news organization. Just as they laughed at the brown shirts in the 1920’s, marching with jackboots through the streets of Munich with their nutty, mustached, screaming leader. Neither was to be taken seriously and neither was taken seriously; what was missed was individuals dedicated to a sole purpose.

The Republican Party has three core constituencies: no tax conservatives, religious bible-thumping conservatives, and the third group that I call the me-too Republicans. Semi-religious, generally blue-collar whites who identify with the party of wealth, privilege and alleged do-gooding. Not because they share common interests or goals, but because they don’t want to be identified with the other party.

The Democratic Party constituency is comprised of everyone else: minorities, labor unions, the poor, the middle class and the disenfranchised. The differences are clear. The Democratic convention endorsed gay rights; the Republicans endorsed traditional marriage. This single mindedness leaves the Republicans to merely defend the walls of the fort. Just to promise that the sun will come up tomorrow. That’s a huge advantage because people fear change. If elected I promise to do nothing, has been John McCain’s trademark slogan for years.

He vitriolically campaigns against earmarks; earmarks provide funding for local infrastructure projects such as schools, highway improvements and yes, even bridges! Yet his electors return him to Washington year after year by his promising, “When your tax dollars go to Washington, I’ll make sure that none of them ever come back to you!” All on the premise that government is bad, that government can’t be trusted, that it is government that is the root of all problems. Yet, who is the government? Lincoln explained it as, “government of the people, by the people, for the people.” So what are the Republicans really saying?

They are saying that representative democracy is the problem. They wish to cut entitlements and to whom do those go? We must outsource government functions to private entities, private schools, toll roads, and privatize Social Security. Who wins and who loses? With singularity of purpose the Republicans campaign against government. Throughout the 1920’s the German National Socialists campaigned as well against the government and that Liberal Democrats were destroying the nation. That they were dupes for the Communists and Internationalists and put their own personal and party goals above the goals of the nation.

Only one party would put Germany first and restore her to her rightful place in the world. Only one party draped themselves in flags and patriotic music, they were not ashamed of being Germans! Their keynote platform described “the family” as the most important element in Germany and only they could be trusted to protect the family. They viewed representative democracy as bringing the level of the conversation down to the dumbest person in the room.

Their view of good government was the top-down approach, a sort of unitary executive who acted as they best saw fit. Then if he or she overstepped their bounds, they could be corrected by a Parliament. The German Court System, they complained, was filled with corrupt intellectuals who were over-schooled and under-learned. They promised in its place swift and sure justice, no more senseless appeals. The party acquired a newspaper in 1920 to try and get out its message against a mainstream internationalist press filled with communist and anti-German ideas.

The paper was at first labeled an anti-Semitic gossip sheet, their stories more intent on defaming the character of the principals rather than the telling of the story. The meaning of the story became, it goes without saying, who is right or wrong. They reveled in drawing demeaning cartoons of the political principals, of making them objects of derision to destroy their credibility. Lies were never retracted but repeated again and again as fact. Libel suits against them were labeled attacks on their political beliefs. Unable to stand the scrutiny of the public their detractors, ran to their intellectual left wing cohorts in the courts to rescue them from publics' outrage.

Does any of this take on a familiar ring? The party then used their bully boys to push the mainstream media from the street corners of the cities. We’ll call them the Gore/Soreloserman brigades. One by one they attacked the other papers with lies and character assassinations, calling those who opposed them criminals and unpatriotic. The Social Democrat, which was the equivalent of the German Democratic party, came to mean just Socialist which was of course no different than a Communist. So how could you, as a Democrat, turn your government over to the Communists?

You are patriotic aren’t you? Or are you a Democrat? You love your country, don’t you? Or are you a Communist? Don’t quote me, Keith Oberman, or Charles Gibson, their bias is well-known. You listen to them, do you? How then can your opinions be trusted? They are Democrats and left-leaning enemies of the people and there is only one party that wants to keep this nation strong! And you., you don’t identify with them, do you? Why not just admit it, you’re a Communist!

At a recent Family Research Council event, activists were selling Obama Waffles, a waffle mix with a stereotyped image of Barrack Obama on the box. Apparently they looked at their WWJD bracelets and decided that this was just funny. That Jesus teaches us to ridicule and demean those different from us.

*Great conversation starter for your desk at work

Nothing sets a healthy tone in the office like racist politics!

*The perfect gift for a liberal friend who has everything . . . given to him by the government, of course.

*Whether you’re clinging to God and your guns in Pennsylvania, or just hungry for a change in one of the other 57 states, Obama Waffles are what the world is craving.

“I want to try and keep this campaign about issues.” -- John McCain.

Does this begin to sound familiar? The singularity of purpose, not to win this election or the next election but to destroy the credibility of the Democratic Party. Rumors of John Edwards' mistress persist while rumors of John McCain’s mistress evaporate into the ether. Edwards wasn’t even a candidate at the time yet he was ridiculed just as his haircut was ridiculed. But talking about McCain’s age or Palin’s credentials is viewed as an attack by a partisan media. A partisan media that stands against the one party that truly stands up for America.

Of course many will say it’s not fair to compare the Republicans to goose-stepping, jack-booted, racist thugs. Oh yeah? Why not? If it quacks like a duck and goose steps like a duck, then what is it? I know! Let’s ask the experts on Nazis.

“Currently, America has an estimated 20 MILLION brown, mestizo ILLEGAL ALIENS who have INVADED OUR NATION” -- American Nazi Party

‘The rule of law means guaranteeing to law enforcement the tools and coordination to deport criminal aliens without delay — and correcting court decisions that have made deportation so difficult. It means enforcing the law against those who overstay their visas, rather than letting millions flout the generosity that gave them temporary entry. It means imposing maximum penalties on those who smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S., both for their lawbreaking and for their cruel exploitation.” -- Republican National Platform 2008

“If you are tired of being blamed for all the world's problems - simply because you are White. If you are fed up with a government that is more concerned about everyone and everything on this planet - EXCEPT the well-being of the people who FOUNDED and BUILT America.” -- American Nazi Party

“This is a platform of enduring principle, not passing convenience — the product of the most open and transparent process in American political history. We offer it to our fellow Americans in the assurance that our Republican ideals are those that unify our country: Courage in the face of foreign foes. An optimistic patriotism, driven by a passion for freedom. Devotion to the inherent dignity and rights of every person. Faith in the virtues of self-reliance, civic commitment, and concern for one another. Distrust of government’s interference in people’s lives. Dedication to a rule of law that both protects and preserves liberty. We present this platform at an uncertain point in time.

Our country remains at war and committed to victory, but reckless political forces would imperil that goal and endanger our nation. In the economy and in society at large, it is a time of transformation. But the American people will meet these challenges. Even with its uncertainties, they embrace the future, but they are also too wise to rush headlong into it. We are an adventurous, risk-taking people, but we are not gamblers. A sound democracy trusts new leadership but insists that it demonstrate the old virtues: the character and the command that, in times of conflict and crisis, have led the Republic through its trials.” --Republican National Platform 2008

“American National Socialists are NOT 'monsters' as portrayed by the systems controlled media - we are White men and women who care deeply for the future of our children in a decadent, corrupt world gone mad. A world where decency is 'wrong' - and 'perversion' is more than 'acceptable' - why, it's a preferred 'lifestyle choice'!” -- American Nazi Party

“Republicans have been at the forefront of protecting traditional marriage laws, both in the states and in Congress. A Republican Congress enacted the Defense of Marriage Act, affirming the right of states not to recognize same-sex 'marriages' licensed in other states. Unbelievably, the Democratic Party has now pledged to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act, which would subject every state to the redefinition of marriage by a judge without ever allowing the people to vote on the matter.” -- Republican National Platform 2008

“As Aryan Revolutionaries, we recognize the fact that behaving in the manner of past activities, little progress has been achieved for our Cause. That is why we have taken a new direction. In the American Nazi Party, you will find no uniforms or ranks, we do not engage in publicly exposing our Comrades to undo publicity through pointless and dangerous Rallies or Marches. We instead stress Small Cell, and Individual Activism as the path for which to build our Movement, as securely and in a responsible manner as possible.” -- American Nazi Party

In other words, they’ve taken off the jackboots and become Republicans, a melding of ideas, a singularity of purpose. You’re either with us or you’re against us in a war, not of elections but of philosophies, and the failure to understand that is no different than a lobster in a cooking pot wondering why the water is getting warmer; or like bringing a knife to a gun fight.
